Liu Jihong, male, born in 1971. Graduated from Huazhong Agricultural University in 1999 with a Ph.D. He was promoted to associate professor and professor in 2000 and 2003 respectively, and was selected as doctoral supervisor in 2004. From November 2003 to November 2005, he was funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and engaged in postdoctoral research at the National Fruit Research Institute (Tsukuba). He is a member of the International Citrus Society (ICC, 118-14), the International Association for Plant Biotechnology (IAPB), the Chinese Citrus Society, the Chinese Society of Agricultural Biotechnology, and the director of the 6th Hubei Province Youth Science and Technology Workers Association. ; Director of Hubei Provincial Citrus Society. Mainly engaged in fruit tree cell engineering and molecular biology research, and has hosted the National Natural Science Foundation (3 projects), the International Science Foundation (2 projects), the Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation (Young Outstanding Talents and General Projects), Wuhan Morning Light Project, Projects such as the Doctoral Program Fund of the Ministry of Education. He has participated in many domestic and foreign academic conferences and given oral reports; he has won the second prize of the 9th Huo Yingdong Education Foundation Young Teacher Award (2004), the second prize of the Hubei Province Natural Science Award (2001, fourth), and other awards. Cooperated to apply for a national invention patent (2004, a method of producing shriveled pomelo fruit, patent number 00109615.X, fourth).
