II. Introduction of Jilin Art College

Jilin Art College is the only comprehensive art college in Northeast China. The predecessor of the school sprouted from Lu Xun College of Literature and Art of Northeastern University in 1946. In 1958, Jilin Art College was established, and in 1978, it was renamed Jilin Art College. In 1993, it was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee to become a master's degree awarding unit, and gradually established its dominant position in higher art education in Northeast China.
