In p>1996, lead singer mike shinoda and guitarist Brad Delson, who were classmates at school, recorded their first song in Mike's bedroom and mini-studio, and then they met drummer rob bourdon, all of whom were high school alumni. After graduating from high school, mike shinoda met DJ joseph hahn at Pasadena Art Center College. Brad Delson met bassist David Phoenix Farrell and lead singer Mark Wakefield at UCLA, and the six initially formed the Xero band (predecessor of Linkin Park) [8].
