In order to vigorously promote the noble teacher ethics of selfless dedication, on the occasion of celebrating the 30th Teachers' Day, Beijing Normal University has specially established the "China Qi Gong Teacher Award" to guide the majority of teachers at the county level and below (including county level) across the country. ) Be a teacher in rural areas for a long time and teach for life, be a good teacher who is satisfied with the party and the people, and promote the good trend of respecting teachers and valuing education in the whole society. The prize money for this award is funded by the Beijing Normal University Education Foundation and is selected every two years. 10 outstanding teachers will be selected each time and each outstanding teacher will be awarded RMB 500,000.

According to the selection method, the "China Qigong Teacher Award" is selected for teachers who have been working on the front line of basic education in rural areas below the county level (including counties) for a long time and have been working as teachers for more than 30 years, especially Give priority to front-line teachers in basic education in the country's old, young, border, poor, island and other areas. The selection criteria are based on "having ideals and beliefs, moral sentiments, solid knowledge, and a benevolent heart." Candidates for the "China Qi Gong Teacher Award" can be selected from among the national outstanding teachers commended by the Ministry of Education, or they can be recommended by the education department of the provincial people's government and evaluated by the review committee. Mr. Gu Mingyuan, a famous educationist and senior professor of our school, serves as the director of the evaluation committee.
