The healthy growth of a baby is every parent's greatest hope. As a kind of baby food, the quality of rice flour has also attracted people's attention. At the end of last year, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced the results of spot checks on the quality of baby rice noodles. The qualified rate of sampling is less than 60%, and the overall quality level of products is low.
So, what is the quality of baby rice noodles on the market in our province? After nearly a week's investigation, the reporter in the "Weekly Quality Concern" column of this newspaper randomly bought three kinds of baby rice noodles in the market and entrusted Fiona Fang Testing Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zhejiang Quality Inspection Bureau, to carry out testing. The results show that the quality of baby rice noodles sold in our province is generally good, but there are also some problems.
It is difficult to find the problem from the outer packaging.
Judging from the test results, one product of the three brands was judged to be unqualified, and the product packaging was beautiful, but the internal nutrition was insufficient. Most baby rice flour products sold in the market are difficult to identify from the appearance.
From February 26th to March 3rd, the reporter investigated some non-staple food markets, supermarkets and small rural shops in Yiwu, Fuyang and Cangnan. The reporter saw that with the implementation of the "rural assured store project", the baby rice noodles sold in the market are mainly some well-known brands, such as Beinmei, Future and Nestle. Although other brands of baby rice noodles are not well-known, the packaging is also very good, and there are no products with rough packaging that people suspect at first sight.
In Yishan Town, Cangnan County, a consumer who bought baby rice noodles told reporters: "When purchasing, we usually look at whether the outer packaging is complete and beautiful, and we will also pay attention to the production date, factory name and address, and then look at the brand. The products sold in the market seem to be quite good, and there should be no problem. " The person in charge of Fiona Fang Testing Center said that from the test results and product identification of the unqualified "Sanbao AD calcium rice flour", it can be seen that the production conditions of the enterprise should be standardized, and the reasons for the unqualified products of this batch are very complicated. The manufacturer may not have tested the products before leaving the factory according to the relevant national standards, so it is difficult for ordinary consumers to identify such defective products, which can only be solved by the self-discipline of the manufacturer and the supervision and spot check of relevant departments.
13 detection index, two unqualified.
There are three batches of baby rice flour products tested this time, including:
-Sanbao AD calcium rice flour (500g/ bag, production date: 2005. 1.23), purchased from Yiwu Commodity City food market, nominally produced by Jiangxi Nanchang Green Sanbao Food Industry Co., Ltd.;
-β -carotene nutritious rice flour (specification: 300g/ bag, production date: September 24th, 2004) purchased by Zhongxin Supermarket in Yishan Town, Cangnan, nominally produced by Hangzhou Future Nutritional Food Co., Ltd.;
—— Infant nutritious rice flour (specification: 500g/ bag, production date: 2005. 1.28), purchased from Cangnan Lingxi Food Wholesale Market, nominally Guangdong Dongtai Dairy Co., Ltd. (Sino-foreign joint venture).
Protein, moisture, calcium, iron, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin D, benzoic acid, sorbic acid, total number of colonies, coliform bacteria, pathogenic bacteria (intestinal pathogenic bacteria and pathogenic cocci) and net content were selected for detection. After testing, the indicators of "β -carotene nutritious rice flour" and "infant nutritious rice flour" 13 are all qualified, and the indicators of vitamins A and D of "Sanbao AD calcium rice flour" are unqualified (the test results are only responsible for this batch).
Experts pointed out that the lack of nutrients can not be ignored.
Professor Shen, an agricultural product expert from Zhejiang University, showed us the regulations of China People's Standard (GB 10070- 1997) on supplementary food for weaned infants, which stipulated that the contents of vitamin A and vitamin D should be between 1000 and 1500 international units and 200 to 400 international units respectively.
He pointed out that according to the description of national standards, "rice flour", as an infant formula powder, is a powdery food suitable for infants from 0 to 12 months, and its nutritional components must meet the nutritional needs of normal infants from 0 to 6 months. If the content does not meet the requirements, of course it is unqualified.
The person in charge of Fiona Fang Food and Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Testing Center in Zhejiang believes that children have a high demand for nutrition because of their single diet and weak digestive ability. Vitamins A and D, as the main nutritional indicators, are both below the national standards, which may lead to malnutrition in infants.
He also told the author that the unqualified "Sanbao AD calcium rice flour" also had outstanding problems in the outer packaging. Since it is labeled as "AD calcium rice flour", it should take vitamin "AD" as the main component, and its content must be marked in the ingredient list, and there must be no unqualified content. But in fact, the manufacturer has neither marked the content nor failed the inspection.
"Matters needing attention" in purchasing infant rice noodles
The growth period of infants and young children is a very special period. During this period, infants and young children will suffer from malnutrition and slow growth. If they do not eat enough nutritious food, their intellectual development and physical health will be irreversibly affected. Relevant persons from the Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision reminded consumers that as the main supplementary food for infant nutrition, the following issues should be paid attention to when purchasing infant rice noodles.
-Try to choose the products of brand enterprises with large scale and good product quality and service quality.
-Check whether the label on the package is complete. According to the national standards, the name of the factory, the address of the factory, the date of production, the shelf life, the implementation standard, the trademark, the net content, the ingredient list, the nutrient composition list and the eating method must be marked on the outer packaging. If any of the above items are missing, it is best not to buy them.
—— See whether the nutrients indicated in the nutrient composition table are complete and the content is reasonable. Generally, basic nutrients such as calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin D, some B vitamins, trace elements such as calcium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, etc., and other added nutrients should also be indicated.
-Look at the product packaging instructions. According to the national standard, baby rice noodles should clearly state that "the ideal food for babies is breast milk, and this product can be eaten when breast milk is insufficient or there is no breast milk; When babies over 6 months old eat this product, they should add complementary food. "Weaning formula rice flour should also be marked with" weaning formula food "or" weaning auxiliary food ". These statements are what enterprises must make clear to consumers.
-Look at the color and smell of the product. Good quality rice noodles should be white and even. It smells like rice flour, but there is no other smell, such as essence.
-look at the organizational form and impulse of the product. It should be powdery or flaky, dry and loose, uniform and non-caking. After being brewed or cooked with a proper amount of warm water, it is fully stirred into a lubricated paste.
