The paint film meter is mainly used to measure the distance between the metal and the measuring probe. For the car, the car body is metal but the surface will be covered with a layer of car paint, so when clicking on the paint surface, it is naturally equivalent to measuring the thickness of the paint surface. The paint on the metal without coating is different from that on the metal when it comes into contact with the car surface. Touching bare metal is the metal itself.
If the paint film meter measures bare metal, the reading is naturally 0, because there is no gap between the probe and the metal. The metal bottom layer under the paint film instrument can be used to measure many small objects that are not easy to measure at ordinary times.
Matters needing attention in the use of paint film instrument:
First of all, install the battery correctly and pay attention to the polarity of the battery. The coating thickness gauge circulating in the market has a simple function, that is, it can only measure the thickness value, so it can basically be used directly without setting.
When the thickness gauge leaves the factory, it comes with a reference table for calibration. When the value is inaccurate, the data should be calibrated. Before measurement, measure the attached reference film. If all values are accurate, there is no need to calibrate again. If it is not accurate, it will be calibrated.
