Xinyepi Nan beef cattle is a specialty of Xinye County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. Pinan beef cattle are the offspring of a cross between Piedmont cattle and Nanyang cattle. In 1987, Xinye County imported Piedmont cattle, known as the "Father of Beef Cattle in the World", from Italy to improve Nanyang cattle. Nanyang cattle are one of the five famous local breeds of cattle in my country. They are famous at home and abroad for their large size, good meat quality and excellent cortex, and are known as "Nanpi". After more than 20 years of persistent efforts, the Xinyepinan beef cattle improvement group has continued to expand. The Animal Husbandry Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Beijing conducted a cross-breeding experiment between Piedmont cattle and Nanyang cattle. The results showed that the Piedmont cattle showed the characteristics of "one fast, two low, and four high": one fast, that is, the growth rate is fast (an average of 49.3% higher than that of Nanyang cattle). %); two low, that is, low cholesterol (37% lower than Nanyang beef on average) and low fat (26% lower than Nanyang beef, on average); four high, that is, high meat content (18.4% higher than Nanyang beef, on average), high quality The beef cutting ratio is high (129.1% higher than Nanyang beef on average), the selling price of live cattle is high (16.7% higher than Nanyang beef on average), and the product added value is high (108% higher on average than Nanyang beef after processing and segmentation). For more than 20 years, Xinye County has been continuously cultivating Pinan cattle breeds and has now applied to the National Breed Genetic Resources Committee in accordance with the procedures. In order to make the Xinye Pinan beef brand go out of the country, go nationwide and go abroad, in 1990, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Henan Provincial Animal Husbandry Bureau and Nanyang regional leaders held the Pinan Beef Exhibition at the Shangri-La Hotel in Beijing. During the meat tasting meeting, the Swiss chef evaluated that the beef fully meets the requirements of the best grade steak meat. The tenderloin is valued at US$25 per kilogram. The meat quality of Pinan beef has been affirmed by experts at home and abroad. In 2004, Xinye County took the lead in registering the "Twelve Black" brand Pinan beef cattle live cattle trademark with the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, becoming the first live cattle registered trademark in the country. On May 25, 2006, a press conference on product identification of China Xinye Pinan beef was held in Beijing. Pinan beef was identified as high-end nutritional and health-care double-muscle beef by Chinese and foreign beef experts. On November 10, 2009, at the Fourth National Cattle Industry Development Conference, more than 600 cattle industry experts and scholars from all over the country visited the Pinan beef cattle in our county.
