How did the lice come from the dog?
Ticks on dogs were infected while playing in the wild.

Ticks are ectoparasites of human beings, domestic animals and wild animals, and larvae, nymphs and adults can suck blood. Ixodes mostly bite the host during the day and suck blood for a long time, while soft ticks mostly suck blood at night, and the time of biting the host is short, ranging from 1 ~ 2 minutes to 1 hour. Some Ixodes feed on blood day and night. When sucking blood, the mouthparts can be firmly fixed on the skin of the host and will not leave when frightened. If they are forcibly removed, it is easy to break the prosthetic head in the skin. Ticks have a very sensitive sense of smell. They can smell the host from a few meters away and climb to the leaves or grass tips at a height of 1 m to wait for food. When people and animals pass by, they suddenly pounce on people and animals, waiting for an opportunity to suck blood. It can not only bite the skin, but also be the infection vector of spirochetes, rickettsia, viruses and bacteria. This is why ticks bite people.

Once a dog is bitten by a tick, go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible and never pull it out at home. Dermatitis caused by tick bites is mainly anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and analgesic, and symptomatic treatment is given at the same time. After being bitten by ticks, the following measures are usually taken:

1. When ticks are found to bite the skin, they should not be forcibly pulled out to avoid tearing the skin and preventing the mouthparts from breaking in the skin. You can apply ether, chloroform and dry cigarette oil to the head of ticks, or light cigarette butts and mosquito-repellent incense next to ticks and bake them. After a few minutes, the tick will let go, or put vaseline and liquid paraffin on its head to suffocate it, and then gently pull it out with tweezers.

2. After ticking the dog, the wound should be disinfected. If the mouthparts of ticks are found to be broken on the skin, they should be taken out by surgical incision.

3. Local sealing around the wound with 2% lidocaine hydrochloride, or wet dressing the wound with trypsin 2 000 u and normal saline 100mL can accelerate wound healing.

4. If dogs have symptoms of systemic poisoning, antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine, desloratadine, levocetirizine hydrochloride or corticosteroids such as Mi Le and prednisone should be given. In case of tick paralysis or tick bite fever, rescue should be carried out in time. If the wound has secondary infection, anti-inflammatory treatment should be carried out.
