Lanc?me’s symbol is the rose.
The name LANCOME comes from LANCOSME, a castle in central France. For the convenience of pronunciation, the "S" letter in the castle name was replaced with a typical French macron. And because there are many roses planted around the "Lancome Castle", full of romantic mood, roses have become the symbol of the Lanc?me brand.
Extended information
Lancome's original trademark included symbols representing its three series: rose: representing the perfume series; lotus: representing the skin care series; angel: representing the makeup series.
“The European beauty represented by Lanc?me is the most easily accepted by Chinese women because it is fashionable yet approachable; it is lively and has enough connotation.”
1964: The standardized long-stemmed rose with smaller leaves became Lanc?me's brand image, appearing on Lanc?me's advertisements and all packaging graphics.
1974: The leaves on the pattern were removed. It became a more refined pattern.
1990: The perfume with the theme of "Embrace Me" was also described as a perfume with history and memory. The beautiful perfume bottle resembled one. The inverted crystal pyramid of the bottle enhances its appeal.
1996: The roses used in the 1960s still appear on the packaging and advertising of Lanc?me products, and the roses appear differently depending on the product type. The status of this rose is further strengthened by its colors, white for skin care products, red or purple for cosmetics, and yellow for sun protection products.
In 2000: everything changed. Part of the overall Lancome organization and changes with different promotion activities
