He was a native of Xiaohuazhuang, ten miles north of Qiao County, which is now Xiaohuazhuang, 5 kilometers north of Qiaocheng, Bozhou, Anhui. His father's name was Hua Wen, and he came from an authentic village family. According to the Huatu chapter of the Later Han Dynasty (please note that it is Hua Tuo, not Hua Tuo) - Author's note): "Hua Tuo's character is Yuanhua, and he is also a native of Pei State. His name is Min. He traveled to Xu Tu, studied many classics, and knew the art of nourishing one's nature. He was even a hundred years old and still had a strong appearance. People at the time thought that Immortal, Pei Xiang Chen Gui promoted filial piety and integrity, and Taiwei Huang Wanpi failed." Hua Chang loves medicine and health care. When he was young, he traveled abroad to study and practice medicine in Anhui, Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu and other places. He studied medical skills without seeking an official career. He has comprehensive medical skills, especially surgery, and is skilled in surgery. ...Traveling around the world and visiting famous teachers, the famous doctor Hua Tuo gradually became popular. Together with Zhang Zhongjing and Dong Feng, he was known as the three miracle doctors of Jian'an, but his real name Hua Min gradually faded out of the world's sight.
The young Hua Tuo married Yunqing, a woman named Mei, and gave birth to a son named "Fei'er". The couple opened a pharmacy in Xiaohuazhuang to make a living. The pharmacy was named "Herbal Medicine Hua Tuo" and its reputation gradually increased. At that time, the Prime Minister of Pei was Chen Gui, a famous scholar of the Three Kingdoms. Chen Gui, Chen Deng and his son were also on good terms with Hua Tuo. They once recommended Hua Tuo as "Xiaolian", but Hua Tuo declined. Later, Taiwei Huang Wan also recommended Hua Tuo as Xiaolian, but he was also declined. Hua Tuo developed anesthetics due to surgical needs. One of the main ingredients was datura. In order to meet the needs of more and more patients, Hua Tuo moved his herbal medicine Huatuo Pharmacy into Qiao City, which was still called "Herbal Medicine Hall". The location is today's "Huazu'an". At that time, it was adjacent to Shennong's tomb in the east and Cao Cao's Douwu Camp training ground in the south.
In the 5th year of Jian'an, that is, 200 AD, Hua Tuo was 55 years old and was recruited as an imperial doctor. During the period from the 5th to the 10th year of Jian'an, Hua Tuo went from tigers in the royal garden to He understood and invented the famous "Five-animal Opera" in the form of deer, bear, ape, bird and other forms. He took a leave of absence in the 11th year of Jian'an and returned to his hometown Qiaocheng to teach and promote it. In the 13th year of Jian'an, that is, 208 AD, Hua Tuo was forcibly brought back to Xuchang by the imperial court because his wife was ill and failed to return from extended leave many times. Prime Minister Cao Cao hoped that Hua Tuo would admit his mistake and return to the imperial medical team, but due to Hua Tuo's unruly character , did not think that he had violated the criminal laws of the Han Dynasty. He thought that he was a charlatan and should not be influenced by the laws of the court. He refused to admit his mistake and was sentenced to death. However, Cao Cao missed his fellow countryman and pitied his medical skills. Although he was rebellious and could not bear to harm him, the law was ruthless, so he ordered his soldiers to find a death row prisoner to die in his place, and secretly arranged Hua Tuo in Guoshui and Zhangzhou, 70 miles southeast of Qiaocheng. At the water intersection, Hetao Li (actually equal to house arrest), here, the Wo River (now the Wo River) turns 90 degrees from the east to the south, and then to the east, the Zhang Water (today's Zhang River) enters the vortex here. Here, north, It is adjacent to the river on three sides in the southeast, covering an area of ??about 2 square kilometers. To collect medicinal materials, there is only one road to the west that leads to Chengfu. It is 300 meters away from the intersection of Guoshui and Zhangshui in the southeast (100 feet away from both Guoshui and Zhangshui in the southeast). After Hua Tuo's death, the villagers were impressed by his superb medical skills and virtues in treating diseases and saving lives, and worshiped him in a statue at his original address. .
In 260 AD, the first year of Jingyuan, Cao Huan, the lord of Wei, came to the throne and granted amnesty to the world. He was very homesick. In gratitude for the great doctor Hua Tuo's contribution to medicine, he decreed that the residence of Hua Tuo be named Huatuo Temple. From then on, the Huatuo Temple began to have masters and abbots offering incense and offering sacrifices. Since the first year of Jingyuan of Cao Wei, it has been passed down to 56 generations. The last 56th generation master was born in 1926. He was a layman named Deng. One son and one daughter are both alive now. Their village is Huatuo Temple, Chengfu Township, Bo County. After the county was removed and established as a city, it was renamed Huatuo Temple, Hexi Garden, Chengfu Town, Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City.
