What is the process of applying for Thai trademark registration in Shantou?
1. Trademark search: Before submitting an application for trademark registration in Thailand, the applicant had better search the applied trademark to see if any identical or similar trademarks have been applied for or registered on the same or similar goods or services.

2. Submit a trademark application. If the search results show that there is no previous identical or similar trademark of others on similar goods or services, the applicant may file an application. According to the International Classification of Goods and Services for Trademark Registration (also called "Nice Classification"), goods and services are divided into 45 categories.

3. Trademark review procedure: Within 3-4 months after receiving the application for trademark registration, the Intellectual Property Office of Thailand (DIP) will conduct two formal and substantive reviews on the trademark application to determine whether the submitted application materials are complete, whether the applied trademark is distinctive, whether it violates the relevant prohibition provisions of the Trademark Law, and whether it is the same as or similar to the trademark previously applied for or registered by others on the same or similar goods. If it fails to meet the registration requirements after examination, the trademark application shall be rejected. If the applicant is not satisfied with the ruling made by the Intellectual Property Office, he may request a review from the Trademark Board of Thailand.

4. Statement of objection. After examination, the examiner thinks that the trademark application is acceptable, and it will be announced in the official trademark announcement of Thailand. 90 days from the date of announcement is the objection period. During the objection period, anyone can object to the trademark application. The applicant can reply to the objection. The examiner will rule on the result of the objection.

5. approve the registration. If no one raises any objection to the trademark application within 90 days after the announcement, the trademark shall be approved and registered. The period of validity of trademark registration is 10 year, counting from the date of application. The trademark registrant shall go through the renewal formalities within 90 days before the expiration of the trademark. The renewal period is 10 year. After the registration of a trademark, the trademark registrant shall use the registered trademark in Thai business. If the trademark registrant has not used the registered trademark in Thailand for three consecutive years after the registration of the trademark, others may request the Intellectual Property Office of Thailand (DIP) to cancel the registered trademark on the grounds that the registrant has not actually used the registered trademark.
