As the big brother in the domestic mobile phone industry and a well-known brand in China’s technology field, Huawei plays a very important role in the hearts of many Chinese people.
Huawei's ability to achieve better and better results is not just due to so-called "patriotic marketing", but its strong independent research and development capabilities and good foresight. As far as mobile phone chips are concerned, Huawei's HiSilicon Kirin processors are among the best in the world, and Huawei is one of the few mobile phone manufacturers that has its own chips.
There is also the Hongmeng system. I don’t know when it will be able to enter the lives of the public.
The names Huawei gives to its products are all very Chinese. Kirin, Hongmeng, etc. all come from the classic Chinese classic of monsters, "The Classic of Mountains and Seas".
Of course, that's not all...
Huawei has recently applied to register the trademarks "Lingxi Chip" and "Lingxi Processor", and the current status is "Registration Application" . The registration categories are Category 9 and Category 42. It can be speculated that Lingxi chips will be used in third-party smart terminal products or embedded devices of Huawei's own and HiLnk platforms in the future. According to Hua series bloggers, the "Lingxi" chip will be manufactured by a domestic manufacturer, so the process is likely to be 14nm or 28nm.
Half a month ago, Huawei also applied for the "Pangu" trademark, and the application classification was Category 9 - Scientific Instruments. "Pangu" first appeared in the public eye in 2019. Zhao Ming, the president of Honor at the time, posted a photo on Weibo. An item labeled "Pangu" appeared in a pen holder on the table, which looked like a remote control. However, Huawei has not launched any "Pangu" related products since then, and perhaps the true identity of "Pangu" will be revealed soon.
Huawei is eyeing Shanhaijing fiercely.
However, some netizens pointed out that Huawei is forcibly integrating traditional culture and is just deepening its patriotic marketing.
Some netizens believe that the influence of this kind of Chinese legendary figure is very great. If Huawei just chooses a name, it will be very embarrassing if the actual effect of the product does not meet expectations.
Of course, everyone has their own opinions, and what they say may not be unreasonable.
However, I think, putting aside other factors, the act of incorporating Chinese elements is still very good, and it is always much better than some English letters.
I sincerely hope that Huawei and other domestic brands can do better and better and bring glory to the country.
