It is true that Jiujiang Shuangzheng is actually a brand in Guangdong for 200 years. Geographical indication products refer to products produced in a specific region, and their quality, reputation or other characteristics essentially depend on that region. Products named with geographical names are subject to review and approval based on the natural factors and human factors of the place of origin. Geographical indication products include: (1) Planting and breeding products from this region.

(2) Products whose raw materials come entirely from this region or partially from other regions, and are produced and processed in this region according to specific processes.

Jiujiang Shuangzheng Liquor was founded in the early Daoguang years of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of two hundred years. In 2009, Jiujiang's double-steaming brewing technique was selected into the "Intangible Cultural Heritage" list of Guangdong Province, becoming a business card for Jiujiang and even the South China Sea to be promoted to the outside world.

→In early 2013, with the authorization of the Nanhai District People’s Government, Jiujiang Winery began to apply for geographical indication protection.

→In September 2014, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine officially approved the implementation of geographical indication product protection for "Jiujiang Double Steamed Wine". In October of the same year, Jiujiang Winery took the lead in formulating provincial-level local standards for Jiujiang double-distilled wine.

→On May 25, 2015, the provincial local standard "Geographical Indication Product Jiujiang Shuangzheng Liquor" was approved and released. From August 25, 2015, Jiujiang Winery began to use the geographical indication product protection mark on its Jiujiang double steaming series products.
