Hua Tuo, ziyuanhua, was born in Peiguoqiao (now Bo County, Anhui Province). According to research, he was born in the first year of Yongjia in the Han Dynasty (145 AD) and died in the 13th year of Jian'an (208 AD). This research is very doubtful. Because the "Book of the Later Han Dynasty·Hua Tuo Biography" states that Hua Tuo was "a hundred years old, but still had a strong appearance, and people at that time thought he was an immortal." It is also said that he lived to be 150 or 60 years old and still maintained the appearance of more than 60 years old. , and it is a record of a child with white hair and a beautiful face. According to this, Hua Tuo may have lived more than sixty-four years. Hua Tuo lived in the late Eastern Han Dynasty and the early Three Kingdoms period. At that time, the warlords were in chaos, floods and droughts occurred, epidemics were prevalent, and the people were in dire straits. At that time, Wang Can, a famous poet, wrote the following two sentences in his "Seven Sorrow Poems": "When I go out, I see nothing, and the bones are covered with bones." This is a true portrayal of the social situation at that time. Witnessing this situation, Hua Tuo hated the feudal tyrants who committed many evil deeds and sympathized with the oppressed and exploited working people. For this reason, he did not want to be an official. He would rather hold the golden hoop and run around to relieve the people's suffering.
Not seeking fame, fortune, or wealth, Hua Tuo was able to concentrate on the research of medicine. "Book of the Later Han Dynasty: Biography of Hua Tuo" says that he "is also proficient in several classics and knows the art of nourishing one's nature", and is especially "good at prescriptions and medicines". People called him "the miracle doctor". He once compiled his rich medical experience into a medical work called "Qing Sang Jing", but unfortunately it has not been handed down. But it cannot be said that his medical experience was completely lost as a result. Because many of his accomplished students, such as Fan A who is famous for acupuncture, Wu Pu who wrote "Wu Pu's Materia Medica", and Li Dangzhi who wrote "Materia Medica", partly inherited his experience. As for the existing "Zhongzang Sutra" by Hua Tuo, it was a work of the Song Dynasty and published under his name. But it may also include some of the remaining works of Hua Tuo at that time.
The brilliance of Hua Tuo is that he can critically inherit the academic achievements of his predecessors and create new theories on the basis of summarizing the experience of his predecessors. Chinese medicine had already made brilliant achievements in the Spring and Autumn Period, and Bian Que's elucidation of physiology and pathology can be said to be the culmination of it all. Hua Tuo's knowledge may have developed from Bian Que's theory. At the same time, Hua Tuo also conducted in-depth research on the theories of Zhang Zhongjing at the same time. When he read the tenth volume of "Treatise on Febrile Diseases" written by Zhang Zhongjing, he happily said: "This is a real book written by a living person." It can be seen that Zhang Zhongjing's theory had a great influence on Hua Tuo. Hua Tuo followed the path opened by his predecessors and created a new world in a down-to-earth manner. For example, at that time he discovered the extracorporeal heart compression method and the mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration method. There are many such examples. The most outstanding ones should be the invention of anesthesia - Mafei Powder for drinking alcohol and the creation of the sports therapy "Five Animals Play".
The use of certain drugs with anesthetic properties as anesthetics was used by people before Hua Tuo. However, they are either used for war, assassination, or execution, but none are actually used for surgery and treatment. Hua Tuo summarized his experience in this area and observed the sleeping state of people when drunk. He invented the anesthesia technique of taking Mafei powder while drinking wine, which was officially used in medicine, thus greatly improving the technology and efficacy of surgical operations and expanding the scope of surgery. The scope of treatment. According to the research of Japanese surgeon Kaoka Qingshu, the composition of Mafei Powder is one liter of Datura flower, four qian each of Aconite root, Angelica sinensis, Angelica dahurica and Chuanxiong root, and Chao Nanxing one qian. Since the introduction of anesthesia, Hua Tuo's surgical operations have become more sophisticated and he has cured more patients. When he encountered abdominal diseases that could not be cured with acupuncture and decoction, he would ask the patients to drink Ma Fei Powder with wine first. After the patient had no consciousness after anesthesia, he would use surgery to cut open the abdomen and back and cut off the diseased tissue. parts. If the disease is in the intestines and stomach, cut it open and wash it, then sew it up and apply ointment. The wound healed in four or five days, and the disease was completely cured in about a month. At that time, Hua Tuo could already perform surgical operations such as tumor removal and gastrointestinal suturing. Once, there was a patient on a trolley who bent his legs and shouted that he had a stomachache. Soon, his breathing became weak and his screams of pain gradually became quieter. Hua Tuo checked his pulse and pressed his belly, and concluded that the patient was suffering from intestinal carbuncle. Because the illness was serious, Hua Tuo immediately gave the patient "Ma Fei Powder" mixed with wine, and after being anesthetized, he operated on him. After treatment, this patient recovered in about a month. His surgical operations have been praised throughout the ages. Chen Jiamo's "Materia Medica Mengquan" of the Ming Dynasty quoted a poem in "Illustrated Praise of Famous Doctors of the Past Dynasties" for a summary: "Wei had Hua Tuo, who established the Sore Department, removed bones to treat diseases, and had many magical effects." It can be seen that later generations respected Hua Tuo as the "originator of surgery," which is worthy of his name.
"Five Animals Play" is a set of medical gymnastics that can stretch the muscles and joints of the whole body.
The movements imitate the tiger's flapping forelimbs, the deer's head and neck extension, the bear's lying down and standing up, the ape's toes jumping, and the bird's flying wings. It is said that when Hua Tuo was in Xuchang (the name of the county in Henan Province), he instructed many thin people to do this gymnastics in the open space every day. Said: "Everyone can exercise regularly to get rid of diseases, and sharpen the hoofs and feet for guidance. If the body is unhappy, it will act like a bird, and it will make you sweat. Because it is powdered, the body will be light and you will want to eat."
In addition to systematically accepting ancient medical experience, Hua Tuo was also able to attach great importance to and apply folk medical experience. He traveled to many places throughout his life, collecting medicinal herbs and learning medical knowledge from the masses. While looking for medicines from the folk, we also collected many prescriptions from the folk, and these prescriptions were often used to treat diseases. Once, Hua Tuo met a patient with a blocked throat on the road who couldn't eat and was riding for treatment. The patient moaned in great pain. Hua Tuo stepped forward and examined the patient carefully, and then said to him: "You can ask the cake seller on the roadside for three taels of duckweed, add half a bowl of sour vinegar, mix it, and eat it, and the disease will naturally heal." The patient pressed him. If you eat fennel and vinegar, you will immediately spit out a snake-like parasite, and the disease will be really cured. The patient hung the insect on the side of the car and went to Hua Tuo to express his gratitude. Hua Tuo's child happened to be playing in front of the door. When he saw it, he said, "That must be the patient my father cured." The patient walked into Hua Tuo's house and saw dozens of similar insects hanging on the wall. Hua Tuo has cured many patients with this folk prescription.
Hua Tuo's medical skills improved rapidly due to his academic skills, and he became famous far and wide. His fellow countryman Cao Cao often suffered from head wind and asked many doctors to treat him, but none worked. Hearing that Hua Tuo had excellent medical skills, he asked him to treat him. Hua Tuo only gave him an injection and his headache stopped immediately. Cao Cao was afraid that his illness would relapse, so he forced Hua Tuo to stay in Xuchang as his doctor and at his personal disposal. Hua Tuo had a noble nature and did not seek utilitarianism. He did not want to be a doctor who was like a servant. In addition, he "missed home" and said he would go back to his hometown to find a prescription and never return. Cao Cao wrote several times asking him to come back and sent local officials to urge him. Hua Tuo also said that his wife was seriously ill and refused to come back. Cao Cao was furious about this and sent people to Hua Tuo's hometown to investigate. He said to the people sent there: "If Hua Tuo's wife is really sick, give Xiaodou 40 hu of dendrobium and extend the holiday. If it is "false", she will be arrested and punished." Soon, Hua Tuo was captured and taken to Xuchang , Cao Cao still asked him to treat his illness. After Hua Tuo made the diagnosis, he said: "The prime minister's illness is very serious, and acupuncture cannot be effective. I think it is better to give you Mafei powder, then cut open the skull and perform surgery. Only in this way can the root cause of the disease be removed." Upon hearing this, Cao Cao said, He was furious, pointed at Hua Tuo and yelled: "If the head is cut open, can a person still live?" He thought Hua Tuo was plotting to kill him, so he put Hua Tuo in prison and prepared to kill him. One of Cao Cao's counselors requested: "Tuo Fang's skills are really good, and people's lives are at stake, so we should forgive him." Cao Cao refused to listen and said: "Don't worry, there should be no such evil rats in the world?" He actually killed this doctor who had made great contributions to medicine. Before he died, Hua Tuo handed the medical books he had compiled in prison to the prison boss and said, "This can save someone alive." Unexpectedly, the prison chief was afraid and did not dare to accept it. Hua Tuo had no choice but to endure the pain and "ask for fire".
It has been more than 1,700 years since Hua Tuo was killed, but the people will always miss him. There is the Hua Tuo Memorial Tomb in Xuzhou, Jiangsu; there is the Huazu Temple in Peixian County. A couplet in the temple expresses the author's feelings and summarizes Hua Tuo's life:
"A doctor disembowels his belly, but he does not know how to open it." In the Qishengmen Court, who knew that the jailer was mediocre, so his suicide note was burned;
A noble scholar would not bother to serve a traitor, and only regret the writings of historical ministers, but will slander the history of history.

Hua Tuo is also an expert in using psychotherapy to treat diseases. Once, a prefect asked him to see a doctor. Hua Tuo thought that after being furious, his illness would be cured. So he accepted a lot of property, but did not give him good medical treatment. He soon abandoned him and left a letter scolding him. The prefect was furious and ordered people to chase him. His son knew the truth and quietly stopped the people who were chasing him. The prefect was so angry that he vomited several liters of black blood and recovered quickly.
There are also records about Hua Tuo’s medical skills. He once treated Chen Deng, the prefect of Guangling. At that time, Chen Deng’s face was red and he was upset. Some of his subordinates said that Hua Tuo was here. Later, he ordered people to invite Hua Tuo. To diagnose and treat him, Hua Tuo first asked him to prepare more than a dozen basins, and then Chen Deng vomited out dozens of basins of red-headed worms. He prescribed medicine for him, saying that Chen Deng got the disease from eating fish. , told him that the disease would recur in three years, and if he asked for this medicine at that time, the disease would be cured. Before leaving, he told him the address of Hua Tuo’s family. Chen Deng was 36 years old that year. As expected, Chen Deng relapsed three years later and sent someone to search according to the address. However, Hua Tuo's medicine boy told Chen Deng's envoy that Hua Tuo had not come back from going to the mountain to collect medicine and did not know when he would come back. As a result, Chen Deng was 39 years old. He died of this disease. In fact, Hua Tuo's medical skills were very good, but the Guangling prefect was unlucky and could not wait until he came back from collecting medicine. This was the only exception among all the patients treated by Hua Tuo. (Based on the Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms*Chen Deng's biography)
Hua Tuo also advocated health preservation. He created the "Wu Qin Xi", which imitates the shapes, movements and expressions of five animals to stretch the muscles and bones and smooth the meridians. The five animals are tiger, deer, bear, ape, and bird. Regularly performing the five-animal play can make the hands and feet flexible, the blood vessels smooth, and it can also prevent and cure diseases. His student Wu Pousang used this method to strengthen his body. He still had sharp ears and eyes and strong teeth and hair when he lived to the age of 90.
Cao Cao suffered from head wind, and every attack was very painful. He heard that Hua Tuo had outstanding medical skills, so he summoned him and stayed with him. Whenever he had an attack, Hua Tuo would prick his Geshu point with a needle, and the headache would stop immediately. However, Hua Tuo cared about the people and did not want to serve the princes and nobles, so he said that his wife was sick and took leave to go home, but he did not return to the court for a long time. Cao Cao was very angry and sent people to investigate and found that his wife was fine, so he put Hua Tuo in a cell and sentenced him to death. Before his execution, Hua Tuo took out a book and handed it to the jailer, saying: "This book can be used to save people." The jailer did not dare to accept it, and Hua Tuo did not force it, so he burned the book. After Hua Tuo was executed, when Cao Cao suffered from a headache, no one treated him, and it became more and more severe and painful. However, he still resented Hua Tuo, saying that Hua Tuo could eradicate his disease, but failed to cure it once. Well, use this to promote yourself. Even if you don't kill him, he won't cure himself. It was not until his beloved son Cang Shu was critically ill that he sighed: "I regret killing Hua Tuo, otherwise my child would not have died."
Hua Tuo is one of the few people in the medical history of our country. One of the most outstanding surgeons in the world, he is good at using anesthesia, acupuncture, moxibustion and other methods, and is good at thoracotomy and abdominal rupture surgery. The method of surgery is not the mainstream treatment method of traditional Chinese medicine based on the culture of "respecting Confucianism". Under the Confucian proposition that "the body is nourished by its parents," surgery is not widely used in traditional Chinese medicine. developed. Some medical historians have found that the treatment methods used by Hua Tuo are recorded in Indian medicine. The main drug "Mandala flower" in the Ma Fei powder he used is also produced in India. Therefore, they proposed that Hua Tuo traveled to the Central Plains throughout his life. Everywhere, he is most likely a doctor from India. Although this statement cannot be tested, it also has certain reference value.
At the same time, we should also realize that TCM surgery does not exist, and it has reached a very high level as far back as the Han Dynasty. However, with the passage of time and the improvement of TCM theory and practice methods, With the continuous progress in medicine, most diseases can be cured through acupuncture, drugs and other treatment methods. However, these surgical methods, which are painful, seriously damaging, and disrupt the meridians, are gradually being replaced by more "civilized" and "simple" methods. Internal treatment takes over, which is not a shortcoming of traditional Chinese medicine as some people think. On the contrary, this is actually a civilization created by culture. China's special cultural atmosphere has created special research methods of traditional Chinese medicine. Under these conditions, traditional Chinese medicine has also made great progress. Many other medicines can only use surgical methods. The problem to be solved here can be achieved by using internal treatment methods to achieve the same effect. We have to admit its transcendent scientific nature and the exquisiteness and profoundness of its theory. At the same time, this is also the reason why traditional Chinese medicine has always outperformed other medicines with its theories and has endured for a long time.
Medical scientist and miracle doctor Hua Tuo
Ma Fei San
When it comes to Hua Tuo, people are familiar with it. They all know that he is a doctor who can cure all diseases. . In my country's famous historical novel "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", there is a section specifically describing the story of Hua Tuo scraping the bones of Guan Yu, the famous general of Shu, to treat poison. In fact, Hua Tuo's contribution to mankind goes far beyond that. His medical innovations were more than 1,000 years ahead of the West.
Hua Tuo was born in the late Eastern Han Dynasty in my country, more than 1,700 years ago. He was from Qiao County, Peiguo (now Hao County, Anhui Province). He loves medicine and has studied medical skills since he was a child. He determined to be a doctor who could solve people's problems. Someone once recommended him to be an official in the government, but he politely declined. He carried his medicine box and traveled around to treat people's illnesses. Due to his superb medical skills, he soon became a well-known local figure.
One time while walking, Hua Tuo saw a group of people gathered by the roadside. When he got closer, he saw that it was a driver lying on the ground. The driver's face was sallow, his legs were curled up, his hands were covering his belly, and he kept making unbearable sounds of pain. Upon seeing this, Hua Tuo immediately put down the medicine box and squatted on the ground to examine the patient. After a while, Hua Tuo turned around and said to the onlookers: "He is suffering from intestinal appendicitis (appendicitis). If treated earlier, acupuncture will be enough." "Is he hopeless now?" People around asked eagerly . Hua Tuo smiled and shook his head and said, "Don't worry, don't worry, this minor illness is nothing. However, I need to take out his intestines for treatment." Some people were so frightened when they heard that a laparotomy was performed to remove the intestines. Sticking out their tongues, some people couldn't help but gasp. Because they can't imagine how painful it would be to have a caesarean section. Hua Tuo calmly took out a packet of powdered medicine and asked someone to bring some wine to drink for the patient. After a while, the patient calmed down, and after a while, the patient fell into a deep sleep. Hua Tuo asked people to carry the coachman to a nearby house, use a scalpel to cut open the coachman's belly, take out the patient's intestines, cut off the ulcerated section, sew it up, and apply myogenic ointment. After all this work was completed, the patient woke up, opened his eyes, and was surprised to find that his stomach no longer hurt. When he learned what had just happened, he held Hua Tuo's hand gratefully and said repeatedly: "You saved my life. I really don't know how to thank you. You are really a god!" Others asked Warren What is given to the patient before surgery so that he will feel no pain during the entire operation. Hua Tuo smiled and took out some powder from the box and said, "That's it, it's called 'Ma Fei Powder'. After eating it, you won't feel any pain no matter what surgery you do." A young man asked loudly, "Yes." Which god came down to earth to give it to you?" Hua Tuo pointed to everyone with a smile, and then pointed to himself, and said: "Speaking of gods, there are many. I made it based on the tips from the folks. ”
A few days later, the coachman’s illness completely recovered and he appeared on the road like other people. News of Hua Tuo's superb medical skills spread like wildfire, and the miraculous effects of "Ma Fei Powder" also spread to thousands of households along with Hua Tuo's name.
Ma Fei Powder is a very effective anesthetic drug manufactured by Hua Tuo. If this drug is taken together with wine, it will be more effective and can produce a general anesthetic effect. The anesthetics used in modern medicine only have a history of more than 100 years. A long time ago, Europeans used bloodletting to shock the patient during surgery, and then performed surgery. This method is very dangerous. If too much blood is given, the patient will never wake up. Even if no danger occurs, the patient has lost a lot of blood before the operation and is extremely weak, making it difficult to recover. In 1842, the Frenchman Heckmann began to use carbon dioxide as an anesthetic, but this could only be used on animals, not humans. Two years later, American Colton used nitrous oxide as an anesthetic, but the effect was not very good. It was not until 1848 that American Moulton began to use ether as an anesthetic. This drug is still used in Western medicine today. my country's miracle doctor Hua Tuo used Mafei powder to perform surgeries on patients, at least 1,600 years earlier than in the West. But it is a pity that this recipe has been lost. Fortunately, there are historical books recording this miracle. The Chinese historical document "Book of the Later Han Dynasty" records: "If the disease is knotted in the body and cannot be reached by acupuncture, the patient should first drink anesthetic powder with wine. After that, he will be drunk and unconscious, and the abdomen and back will be cut open and the accumulation will accumulate. "It can be seen that the invention and use of Ma Fei San can not but be said to be a miracle in the history of world medicine.
Wu Qin Xi
In ancient times, due to underdeveloped science, people in ancient times mistakenly believed that "life and death depended on fate, and wealth and honor depended on heaven." They believed that people could only be at the mercy of God. But Hua Tuo didn't believe this. He believes that people can give full play to their proactive role in improving health and resisting diseases. He agrees with the ancient Chinese philosophy of "not treating the disease, but treating the disease before it occurs".
One day, he said to his student Wu Pu: "Do you understand the principle of 'the door hinge is not stupid, and the running water is not rotten'? People get diseases because of the lack of Qi and blood circulation."
If people move regularly and let Qi and blood flow smoothly, they can strengthen their physique and reduce diseases. ”
Hua Tuo himself pays great attention to exercise. Every morning, he is active in the yard, and then reads or treats people. Whenever he sits for a long time, he stops working and stretches. Stretching his arms and lifting his legs, he suddenly felt refreshed. He believed that human life does not depend on heaven, but on exercise. He has always wanted to find a way to extend his life.
Hua Tuo saw the eagle soaring in the sky, its two outstretched wings driving its body to fly freely in the air. From this, he thought of the deer on the grassland, the tigers on the mountains, and the apes and bears in the forest. They are so strong and have their own characteristics. If we can take advantage of them and use them for ourselves, can't we live freely on the earth like them? From then on, Hua Tuo devoted himself to studying the movements of these five animals. Characteristics, and then based on the acupuncture principles in medical books, a set of medical gymnastics was created, called "Wu Qin Xi". Wu Qin Xi requires people to imitate tigers, deers, bears, apes, and birds to make various movements to promote blood circulation and make the body more comfortable. The joints and muscles of the whole body can be stretched to achieve the purpose of strengthening the body and preventing diseases.
Hua Tuo's "Wu Qin Xi" was very popular and soon became popular in Xuchang. The weak people's physiques were obviously strengthened because of their persistence in doing "Wu Qin Xi". There was a student of Hua Tuo who had a bad appetite and often had diarrhea because of doing "Wu Qin Xi" without taking any medicine. Wu Pu continued to exercise according to this method and lived to be more than 90 years old, but he still had "smart eyes and strong teeth".
As early as 1,700 years ago, Hua Tuo was able to combine prevention and treatment. , putting exercise in the first place is a great contribution to human health. His idea of ??"life lies in movement" still plays a positive role in guiding human health.
Ignoring the powerful
Hua Tuo lived in the late Eastern Han Dynasty of our country, when eunuchs were in power and political corruption occurred. Due to successive years of war, the government continued to increase servitude and taxes on farmers, making the working people's lives miserable. Hua Tuo was very sympathetic to the misfortune of the people, and he vowed to devote everything he had to relieving the suffering of the people.
Hua Tuo has been practicing medicine among the people for many years and has established a deep relationship with the working people. He treated enthusiastically without any regard for reward.
Once, Hua Tuo treated a boatman and was diagnosed with a rotten spleen. He gave the boatman some homemade Ma Fei powder and opened his belly to remove the ulcer. He then removed the injured part, sutured the wound, and gave him some medicine. The patient recovered in about a month.
Another time, he met a patient with throat obstruction on the road, and the patient could not eat. The patient just kept moaning and was in great pain. Hua Tuo didn't say anything after looking at it. He went to a shop on the roadside and asked the owner for a bowl of minced garlic and vinegar. He mixed it and gave it to the patient after a while. , a long worm spit out from the patient's mouth, and the patient recovered immediately. The patient's family is extremely grateful to Hua Tuo and would like to thank him deeply. After Hua Tuo repeatedly declined, he hurried on without looking back.
Hua Tuo treats patients very seriously and carefully. He pays attention to the characteristics of the disease according to the different conditions of the patients and prescribes the right medicine to achieve remarkable results. Once, two patients came to see a doctor. Both of them had headaches and fever. After Warren checked their conditions one by one, he prescribed two completely different medicines to them. He gave one patient a laxative and another a laxative. The two were confused. Hua Tuo patiently said to them: "Although you both have headaches and fevers, the causes are different. One is eating too much, and the other is a cold caused by external wind and cold. So your medicines are different. Come on!" The patient was relieved of his doubts. They took the medicine as Hua Tuo asked, and they were all well the next day.
There was a man named Chen Shushan in Dongyang area. His two-year-old son was sick. After Hua Tuo heard about it, he rushed there overnight. It turned out that Chen Shushan's son was suffering from dysentery and his life was in danger. Fortunately, Hua Tuo arrived in time and saved his life.
Hua Tuo treated people without negotiating the price, was not afraid of the long journey, and worked tirelessly. The working people loved him very much and affectionately called him a folk doctor.
At that time, Cao Cao, who held the emperor in arms to command the princes, dominated the Central Plains. One day, he had a splitting headache and sent someone to find Hua Tuo.
After Hua Tuo arrived, he carefully diagnosed him and determined that he had migraine. He took out the silver needle and inserted only a few needles into Cao Cao's head. The headache stopped immediately. When Cao Cao saw that Hua Tuo was really good at medicine, he wanted to keep him by his side and promised him a high official position and a generous salary. But Hua Tuo rejected Cao Cao's request. He was unwilling to stay in Xuchang and enjoy peace and happiness. He wanted to relieve the suffering of the people in the world. To get out, he lied that his wife was sick. This method worked as expected. Cao Cao let him go home to take care of his wife and asked him to return as soon as she recovered. Unexpectedly, Hua Tuo did not come back for many days after he left. It turned out that he was thinking about his fellow villagers and his patients. After leaving Cao Cao, he traveled around again and practiced medicine for the people.
Cao Cao refused to give up and angrily sent people to capture Hua Tuo. At this time, Cao Cao's headache recurred again, and he asked Hua Tuo to see a doctor. Hua Tuo was worried about his patient and asked Cao Cao to let him go immediately after he was cured. Cao Cao refused. Hua Tuo refused to give Cao Cao acupuncture in anger, and Cao Cao threatened to kill him. Hua Tuo showed no fear and was upright and upright. Cao Cao had no choice but to throw him into death row. Hua Tuo knew that he was doomed, so he asked someone to bring him a pen and inkstone, and wrote several books about his experiences in practicing medicine for many years. He gave them to the jailer the day before his execution, asking him to pass on these valuable experiences to serve as a better future. People are freed from illness and worry. Unexpectedly, the jailer was too timid to accept Hua Tuo's medical book. Hua Tuo had no choice but to throw these materials into the fire and burn them with tears in his eyes. The next day, Cao Cao sent people to kill Hua Tuo. This is how a generation of famous doctors bid farewell to the world.
Hua Tuo’s murder is a great loss to our country’s medical community. Although he did not leave any monographs, his students Wu Pu, Li Dangzhi and others partially inherited Hua Tuo's experience and knowledge and wrote medical books such as "Wu Pu's Materia Medica" and "Compendium of Materia Medica", which provided important insights into the medicine of the motherland. development has played a certain positive role.
