Yangguan Town, Dunhuang City, Gansu Province is located at the foot of Guyangguan, 64 kilometers southwest of the urban area of ??Dunhuang City, Gansu Province. It is the most remote township in Dunhuang City. Since ancient times, it has been the gateway to the Western Regions and the only pass on the southern route of the "Silk Road". Yangguan Town has an advantageous geographical location, a vast territory and rich resources. It is rich in water, light, soil, heat, wild animals and plants and tourism resources, and has excellent agricultural production conditions. Because the spring water here is of excellent quality, far away from the urban area and free of any pollutants, it is an ideal place to produce pollution-free food.

Based on the advantages of light, heat, water and soil resources, Yangguan Town vigorously develops the grape industry. The grape planting area in the town has reached 20,000 acres. The cultivated varieties are mainly seedless white grapes, and there are also seedless grapes. There are more than 20 new and high-quality varieties such as white chicken heart, Morita Ni seedless, Rizamate, and red grapes. In 2003, the grape brand trademark was registered and obtained the "green food" qualification certification. The grapes are exported to more than 20 provinces and cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, Hubei, Guangzhou, and Fujian, and are very popular among consumers.

In order to improve the organization of the grape base, the Yangguan Town Grape Production and Sales Management Association was established in 2003. Five branches were also established based on each village branch, forming a farmer-based organization. A new model of party building based on industry, with professional associations as the carrier, and "branch associations" as the purpose of enriching the people. The Grape Association plays an important role in adjusting the industrial structure, improving grape quality, developing grape deep processing projects, standardizing market sales order, safeguarding the interests of all parties, increasing farmers' income, and enhancing the appeal of party branches. In order to further alleviate the market and natural risks of grape sales and reduce the market pressure of concentrated grape sales during the maturity period and short sales period, in recent years, Yangguan Town has actively developed grape fresh storage and deep processing through financing, talent-driven, enterprise self-financing and other methods. In other projects, 13 large and medium-sized grape constant-temperature warehouses and 20 household constant-temperature warehouses have been built, bringing the town’s fresh grape storage capacity to 9,000 tons. At the same time, projects such as chocolate raisins and grape packaging materials factories were built. In 2009, another investment of more than 10 million yuan was introduced to build a grape juice pressing plant with an annual production capacity of 3,600 tons, effectively lengthening the grape industry chain and increasing farmers' income. In 2010, through active cooperation with wine companies in Penglai, Yantai and other places in Shandong, two new grape juice pressing plants were built, bringing the town’s grape juice production capacity to 9,000 tons. This effectively solved the problem of grape sales and promoted products. It has laid a solid foundation for transformation and value-adding and improving the level of industrialization.
