Because the Siyang Fangzun was unearthed in Ningxiang, Hunan, and was later resold many times and circulated in the country. It was blown to pieces after the Wenxi Fire. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Premier Zhou inquired about its whereabouts before it was repaired and hidden in the Hunan Provincial Museum. It was loaned by the National Museum on the 10th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and is now kept in the National Museum.

The Hunan Provincial Museum has not removed the special booth dedicated to the Siyang Fangzun, and is looking forward to welcoming the return of the Siyang Fangzun in the future.
