In January 2011, a 100-kilometer road section from Yingjing County to the top of Niubei Mountain was renovated. Some dangerous sections were reinforced and widened, and personnel were arranged for long-term maintenance. Tourist signs and signboards were being installed to facilitate tourists' travel. . In October 2010, we applied for the registration of the "Bison Mountain" and "Niubei Mountain" brands in the name of the Yingjing County State-owned Company. The preliminary work has been completed, and the National Trademark Office is making public announcements. The registration will be completed after the public announcement in 2012.

On July 1, 2015, the Yingjing County Government of Ya'an City, Sichuan Province and the Luding County Government of Garze Prefecture, Sichuan Province jointly issued a letter to officially close Niubei Mountain for development.
