Wuyishan City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province, which is managed by Nanping City. It is located in the northwest of Fujian province, at the junction of Fujian and Jiangxi provinces. It belongs to the middle subtropical region, formerly known as Chong 'an County. Founded in the fifth year of Chunhua in the Northern Song Dynasty (AD 994),/kloc-0 was approved by the State Council to withdraw from the county to build the city in August, 989. It is the only emerging tourist city named after a famous mountain in Fujian Province.
Wuyishan city is surrounded by mountains in the east, west and north, with overlapping peaks and hills, and the south-central part is relatively flat, which is a mountainous and hilly area. The urban area is 2 10/0m above sea level. The landform is well-defined and distributed in steps. The terrain inclines from northwest to southeast. The highest elevation of Huanggang Mountain is 2158m, and the lowest elevation of xingtian town is165m (riverbed elevation160m).
Climate:
Wuyishan belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate zone. It is characterized by four distinct seasons, abundant sunshine and rainfall. "Spring cold" often occurs in spring; High temperature and thunderstorms in summer, occasionally affected by typhoons; Autumn is sunny and crisp, and sometimes there is "autumn tiger" weather because of high temperature; Winter is the season with the least precipitation in the whole year.
