Harbin Institute of Technology supports teaching in Yunnan
In March this year, in Ninglang County, Yunnan Province, the Yunnan team of the 11th Graduate Teaching Group of Harbin Institute of Technology held a unique Party Day Activity. The team members are discussing how to collect some quilts for the children in Xinzhuang. Because I heard that children there often catch colds because their quilts are too thin when they sleep at night. When the team members heard the news, they were all anxious.
Xinzhuang is located in a remote and steep location, more than 200 kilometers away from Ninglang County, about a 6-hour drive. Since there has never been a road and electricity has just been provided, Xinzhuang has always been a place relatively isolated from the outside world. Xinzhuang Wan Primary School, a school with only 28 children, currently only has second, third and fourth grades due to a lack of teachers. After learning about these situations, the team members decided to carry out regular loving support activities for the children of Xinzhuang Primary School while completing the teaching work. After negotiation among the team members, everyone "divided into two groups". Some team members raised needed items and funds through the "Love Taobao Store" of the Harbin Institute of Technology Graduate Student Support Team; several others contacted caring people in the society through various channels. , to collect charity supplies. After learning that children never brush their teeth, the volunteer teaching team believed that children should develop good hygiene habits from the source. Through raising funds, we have equipped each child of Xinzhuang Quan Primary School with a set of toiletries, including toothpaste and toothbrush, towels, soap and washbasin. We have also officially launched the "Hygiene Project" plan of the Harbin Institute of Technology Graduate Student Support Team. This plan will change children's awareness of hygiene and develop hygiene habits from an early age by distributing caring toiletries to children in impoverished mountainous areas and conducting education on hygiene habits. On April 1st, the Yunnan team of the postgraduate teaching support group held three inspirational lectures on "Dreams Are Beyond the Mountains" at Xinzhuang Wan Primary School. At the same time, they brought 30 brand-new quilts, 60 new clothes, 34 dictionaries, 30 A set of toiletries, hundreds of notebooks and hundreds of pencils, a total of 8,100 yuan worth of charity supplies.
Hard work pays off. Through the efforts of the team members, now the children in Xinzhuang no longer have to worry about getting cold or catching a cold at night. They no longer have to worry about having uncomfortable teeth when they wake up every morning. They no longer have to worry about having nowhere to look up new words. I am worried that the school will no longer have its own "school uniform"... These little changes have brought together the love and strength of people from all walks of life.
2. The touching deeds of Li Jilin and Liu Pinggui
There is a couple in Jincheng, Shanxi Province. Their deeds of "honestly repaying food" moved the citizens of Jincheng and even the people of the country. In 2001 Li Jilin and Liu Guiping invested more than 200,000 yuan to open a flour processing factory in Baishidian Village, Jincheng City, registered the "Luyuan Snow" trademark, and successfully passed the QS certification of the quality supervision department. Over the past few years, the couple's honesty has won the trust of villagers in 18 nearby villages, and their business has been getting better and better. On August 18, 2010, Jincheng City experienced heavy rainfall and flooded the flour mill. After the flood, Li Jiping and his wife checked the account books and found that of the 1.05 million kilograms of wheat deposited by the villagers, 750,000 kilograms had completely lost their edible and processing value. The market price at that time was 800,000 yuan. Li Jilin and his wife could not bear to throw away the brand they had worked so hard for. In order to reassure the villagers, Liu Guiping kept watching the flour mill, while her husband Li Jilin went out to work to pay back the food. In the past four years, he finally put the flour mill away. All the food has been returned.
Li Jilin and Liu Guiping are representatives of good people in Jincheng. They embody the noble character and spirit of Jincheng people. In 2013, Li Jilin and Liu Guiping were awarded the title of "Good People of China" by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and won the 2013 "Moved" award. "Top Ten Figures in Shanxi" and was selected as CCTV's "Moving China 2013 Candidate".
