Purpose of internship:

Internship is to cultivate practical skills, combine the professional theoretical knowledge learned with practice, and lay a good foundation for better adapting to the needs of society. By going to the front-line production of garment enterprises to practice, the professional skills and production management capabilities required in the entire process of garment production from design, cutting, craft production to inspection, sorting and packaging can be systematically, intensively and practically trained.

Internship content:

The main content of the internship is formulated around the basic skills necessary for practical talents in senior technical positions in the clothing major, and is divided into four parts:

l. Garment internship CAD, including rendering CAD, pattern CAD, scaling CAD, and layout CAD.

2. Garment post internship board making, including clothing panel making (clean samples, linings, accessories, wool samples), industrial board making

3. Garment post internship technology, skilled Master the technical requirements of every aspect of the entire process from preparation to sewing and finishing of different styles of clothing.

4. Garment production management, to understand the production characteristics of the entire enterprise, the organization of the production line, the quality control methods at each stage, etc.

Internship experience:

The factory where our internship is located is the fashion branch of Nipio Garment Co., Ltd. It processes a wide variety of products, changes quickly, and the products are completed With many advantages such as good quality and standardized workmanship, it is very suitable to be a clothing company for us to study and observe. This is the first time that I have officially integrated into society, set foot on the job, and started a completely different life from the past. From school to society, the environment has changed, and the people around me have completely changed their roles. Teachers have become bosses, classmates, etc. Becoming colleagues, getting along with each other is completely different, everything is undergoing a huge change.

When we first arrived at the factory, we first visited the entire factory layout as a whole and got an overall understanding of the company. Although the factory is large in scale, it is not as complicated as we imagined. The departments are all organized and the arrangements are efficient. These are what we need to understand in depth in the future. After all, the school’s training direction for us is to train practical talents for senior technical positions. In addition to excellence in technology, it is also Only by having a clear understanding of the entire clothing industry can we fundamentally promote the development of the clothing industry.

Our schedule is based on the four aspects stipulated in the internship content, and we implement a group rotation system. Each stage is about four weeks. In the first stage, I was assigned to the board-making room of the company's technical department. , which made me secretly happy. I like the profession of pattern maker because I like to think, am sensitive to numbers, and curious about changes in clothing. The technology of pattern making elevates the perceptual thinking of clothing style design to the level of rational analysis.

But I started to have difficulties on the first day. A difficult problem was placed in front of us. The company's plate making method is very different from the theory in the classroom: 1. The company's proportional drawing method and Differences in archetypal cartography in schools. 2 Because the company mainly processes foreign trade clothing, the design of the pattern is based on customer orders and sample clothing. The strict data accuracy of foreign trade clothing such as: front wave 18.5, back wave 30, armhole height 26.5... and there are There are many technical terms that we have never used. 3. The sizes provided on the order are all ready-to-wear sizes, and there is no need to consider the amount of relaxation mentioned in the prototype method. 4. The sizes used on the order are calculated in inches, etc. This requires us to quickly adapt to this change and change our thinking and methods to produce paper patterns that meet the order size and have beautiful appearance.

Secondly, there is a considerable difference in size between foreign clothing and domestic clothing: 1. Most of the clothing is casual wear, which is larger in size than domestic clothing and is extremely loose. 2. Pants for both men and women are mainly low-waisted. 3 Except for summer clothes, clothing fabrics are thicker and sleeves are generally longer. 4 In terms of color selection, gray, black, dark green, stone color, beige are the main colors, and there is also a small amount of pure white. The colors and combinations are quite different from our domestic clothing habits. 5. Clothes basically have pockets, the number is relatively large, and many of them are three-dimensional pockets.

After trying out two styles of sample boards in succession, I slowly figured out some of the taste. In fact, when making boards, both the "prototype method" and the "proportional method" have their own differences. The advantage lies in the comprehensive application of it to make more accurate and beautiful paper patterns.

During this period, we also visited Nipio’s CAD center. Nipio uses the Lectra CAD system imported from France. Here I saw a complete clothing CAD system for the first time. It was really big. It’s an eye-opener. The use of CAD in Nipio is mainly used for grading. The motherboard prepared by the master is input into the computer using a scanner, and then the size is scaled, which greatly improves work efficiency. In the past, it was done manually. The grading work that takes two days to complete can be completed in dozens of minutes using a computer, and the accuracy is even better than that by hand. The completed large pallet (industrial paper pattern) is printed on wheat frame paper through a pen plotter, and the plotter uses ordinary ballpoint pens at very low cost. A complete set of paper patterns can be put into production in just a few hours.

Secondly, most factories have pattern rooms to store patterns. There are so many patterns accumulated over the years, which not only take up room, are difficult to store, and are very troublesome to search. After using CAD, all paper patterns become digital. No matter how many paper patterns there are, they can be saved in the computer and easily queried at any time.

But it is a pity that because the equipment is expensive, we cannot experience it ourselves. We can only look forward to future opportunities.

At this time, Master Wang, who was our instructor, felt that our basic practical knowledge was not solid, and proposed that we should stay on the sample production line for a period of time and record every process in detail. Experience the paper pattern during the process of making sample clothes. At the same time, it is also a lesson for the next step. In foreign trade clothing companies, customers need to check samples. Therefore, the samples sent must meet the requirements in the sample order, so that the following steps can be carried out. However, this process is very iterative and often takes several times. It takes several or even more than a dozen revisions to finally confirm the production order. Repetition for too long not only wastes manpower, material and financial resources, but more importantly violates the modern market principle of "time is money". Therefore, this requires better communication and collaboration between the business department and all aspects of technology and production lines to improve Quality and efficiency; on the other hand, we should also consider reducing the time and cost of mailing and reducing costs.

Due to the actual production needs of the factory, we were transferred to the back section to work for a long time. The back section in the factory refers to several garment processing tasks such as sewing, ironing, inspection, and packaging. finishing stage.

I have been working in inspection for the longest time and have the deepest experience:

Inspection is an indispensable and important part of quality control. It is impossible to achieve quality without a complete quality inspection system. Compared with quality prevention, quality inspection is a step behind and belongs to post-event checking, but after all, checking is still an important and effective means of control. If prevention is seen as preventing quality defects from occurring, then the positive side of inspection is to prevent them from happening next time. Therefore, all products must be 100% inspected. If they are repaired or rearranged, shipment will be affected.

As a master said, "A piece of clothing may be one hundredth, one thousandth, or one ten thousandth in the factory, but when it reaches the customer, it is one hundred percent!" Therefore, we are responsible for inspecting ready-made garments. We must carefully inspect each piece of ready-made garments. When problems such as stains, large color differences, wrinkles, shabby threads, and drawstrings are found, special small arrow labels must be affixed and hung in different areas according to the type of problem, and then sent to the corresponding department does the processing. For qualified products, they are also responsible for cleaning up excess threads, removing lint, etc., and also pay attention to the product's organizational structure, size specifications, color and documents to be all accurate to ensure complete qualification.

During the internship, the factory also specially arranged for the experienced Master Yan to conduct four theoretical courses for us. This is completely different from the theoretical courses in school. Therefore, Master Yan Based on more than 20 years of experience in the industry, and with real examples as examples, this article describes clothing processing technology and management, covering sample trial production, raw material organization, working hours quota, cutting and sewing, fabric density, color difference, shrinkage, etc. He gave a detailed explanation and discussed with us some issues in the management of modern clothing enterprises. It gave us a deeper understanding of the internship.

During the discussion with Master Yan, I deeply felt that in order to adapt to the requirements of market development, foreign trade garment factories must pay attention to operation management. Establishing a production system that is consistent with the market environment, the clothing processing industry is a very tedious industry, and it is also a busy industry. To provide the required products in the required quantity and time when needed, employees must fully understand the value of one second and minimize the waste of time. But in actual operation, working overtime has become a normal phenomenon in people's consciousness, and sometimes there is even a phenomenon of working continuously for more than 30 hours without interruption. This is particularly obvious in the sewing process. However, when analyzing the customer's time requirements for the process from placing an order to shipping, we found that the time is not urgent. This means that there must be waste when working, so it is important to eliminate waste. Judging from the operation of the factory, from the time the customer places an order, the technical department starts industrial board production, process flow design, assembly line arrangement and other matters. The purchasing department began to organize the raw materials and auxiliary materials required for processing, as well as the trademarks, tags, packaging bags, cartons and other items required for packaging. The biggest problem lies here. The longer the material organization takes, the less time is left for subsequent processes. This causes the above phenomenon to occur. In addition to self-adjustment, the solution to this problem also relies on With the development of the general environment, that is, the development of the entire textile and garment industry, and with the development of our high-tech textile industrial park, I believe that this problem will be effectively solved.

In addition, the competitiveness of clothing companies now relies on on-time delivery, low cost, and good quality. In particular, most orders from foreign trade clothing companies require large output and short delivery times. The trade they conduct is processing of supplied materials in processing trade, and they use OEM production. The main part of the company's profits is to earn processing fees. It can be seen that clothing The development of trade is difficult. Only by "producing defect-free" products can we achieve maximum benefits. Therefore, it is particularly important to carry out overall quality management activities. In factories, substandard products are often discovered in the final process, and there is a certain degree of shirking of responsibilities, which is very undesirable. The most important thing in quality management is to prevent mistakes from happening again and never stumble on the same stone twice. This requires managers and technicians to visit the production site in person and observe on the spot, so that problems can be discovered in a timely manner at the operation site and problems can be eliminated in the previous process. If an abnormality is found at the production site, we must immediately find ways to solve it. Quality is determined by each process, not by inspection. No matter how many times the product is inspected, it is impossible to turn unqualified products into qualified products. Therefore, prevention is the key to quality management.

The importance of corporate vitality to an enterprise. Since Nipio is developed based on an old factory with a long history, there are many old employees and decades of work accumulation, there are many valuable experience, but there are also many shortcomings that are difficult to correct, and the company lacks vitality. This is a big challenge for young people who are interested in working in the garment industry in the future. The garment industry is a labor-intensive industry with many fragmentary and cumbersome steps, and it is a people-oriented enterprise. , so mobilizing the enthusiasm of "people" is the top priority. For example, it is suggested that while companies implement a reward and punishment system to increase motivation, all employees must continue to learn, especially young and middle-aged people, to cultivate high-quality management and improve business capabilities. At the same time, pay attention to cultivating collaboration skills and forming Team power. Secondly, we should also pay attention to the training of workers, train workers to become all-rounders, specialize in multiple abilities, encourage workers to use their brains to work, participate in production management, so that workers become the masters of the site rather than a simple machine operator. Let everyone feel that today is better than yesterday and tomorrow will be better. In this way, the overall level of the factory will continue to improve.

Summary:

More than four months of internship have passed by in a blink of an eye. Looking back on my internship life, I have both the joy of harvest and some regrets during the internship. That is, my understanding of some tasks in the clothing enterprise is only superficial. I watch people do it, listen to people talk about how to do it, and experience it personally. I have not fully understood the essence of some tasks, but it also makes me understand the clothing enterprise. I have a deep emotional and rational understanding of production, and a deeper understanding of the clothing process. Theoretical teaching and practical teaching are closely integrated. In the traditional teaching model, technical courses and practical courses are separated, which leads to a disconnect between theory and practice during the internship process. Therefore, in future studies, more effective methods can be flexibly adopted according to different contents and specific situations in practical teaching. For example, you can teach first and then practice, practice first and then lecture, practice while teaching, or use on-site teaching to allow students to learn by themselves. We will further improve the principles advocated by our "1+1" teaching model, such as consistency of learning and application, combination of teaching and practice, and close integration of theory and practice. I would also like to thank Nipio Garment Co., Ltd. for giving me this internship learning opportunity. I would also like to thank the leaders for their concern and all the masters for their generous teachings, which opened a new door for me to embark on the road of clothing in the future. The door to success. Although the development of clothing enterprises is difficult, the world is very broad, and its development will never end. However, competition in the apparel market is fundamentally a competition of innovation capabilities, especially the competition of product innovation capabilities. If foreign trade clothing enterprises want to continue to develop and change "Made in China" to "Created in China", they must strengthen their grasp of the essence of clothing culture and the ability to predict its development trends, and carry out the development of independent innovation. Only such competition can form Only a virtuous cycle can promote the progress of China's garment industry.
