1, school history
The school was founded on 1954. In 2000, Shanghai University of Science and Technology was formed by the merger of Shanghai Institute of Light Industry, Shanghai Institute of Metallurgy and Shanghai Institute of Chemical Technology.
2. Teachers.

3. Discipline and specialty
The school has eight disciplines, including engineering, science, management, economics, literature, law, agronomy and art. There are eight master's degree authorization points and six master's degree authorization categories in the first-level discipline, among which the chemical engineering degree field is listed as the pilot of the "Excellence Plan" of the Ministry of Education. There are 1% disciplines in ESI global ranking.
School's foreign exchange
The school has maintained close cooperative relations with more than 30 cities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Shanxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Xinjiang and other provinces and cities, established several Industry-University-Research workstations or technology transfer centers, and established four entity research institutes: "Oriental Beautiful Valley Research Institute" with Fengxian District People's Government to support the pillar industries of cosmetics.
Cooperate with Shanghai Academy of Sciences to establish "Shanghai Advanced Applied Technology Research Center" and build a platform for the transformation of research results such as new energy materials, Internet of Things and intelligent transportation.
