Peng Geng of Hunan once published a couplet in Tianjin's "Intelligence" magazine to solicit criticism. The couplet says:
Trust is what people say. If you want to win people's trust, you must keep your word;
Henan Yu Wanjie said:
Yan It is caused by fire. Fires are common caused by smoking, so you should quit smoking.
The couplet is a word analysis pair. "People" and "Words" become "Faith", "Fire" and "Cause" become "Smoke", both of which can be seen in the couplet.
2. According to legend, in the early years of the Republic of China, a restaurant in Chongqing hung a bottle of French three-star brandy brandy on the door, soliciting couplets. There were many people who responded, and the boss was always dissatisfied. Guo Moruo was still very young at that time. He rushed there after hearing the news. He thought that there was a famous dish in Sichuan that could be related to wine, so he mentioned: Three-star brandy, yellow plum blossoms in May.
Generally, people only know that "Huang Meitian" refers to the climate but not the name of the dish. They mistakenly think that this couplet means "the ruthless pair". In fact, one wine and one dish have very coherent meanings. The brand name and wine name are embedded in the upper line, and the time and dish name are embedded in the lower line.
4. "Couplets" records that in the early years of the Republic of China, "Changsha News" had Long and Gong Erjun as the chief writers. People at the time wrote a humorous couplet in "Ta Kung Pao" and said:
Long Main writer, main writer Gong, main writer Long Gong***;
Ma Binwang, Luo Binwang, Ma Luo Binwang.
The two main writers, Long Gong, are unknown. King Ma Bin, also known as Ma Zhou, was born in the early Tang Dynasty and served as the censor during the reign of Emperor Taizong. King Luo Bin was a native of the early Tang Dynasty and one of the "Four Heroes of the Early Tang Dynasty". His poems contained many sad and angry words, and he once wrote "A Call to Arms". The main method of linking words is character analysis, but also tautology and embedded names.
5. "Ancient and Modern Couples and Funny Words" says that on the wedding night of Tang Xianzu in the Ming Dynasty, the bride came out of the couplet and said: Red candle and dragon, the dragon in the water goes out of the fire;
Showing ancestors for a long time without correctness. Later, when I saw the embroidered shoes worn by the bride, I came up with a sentence: "Flowered shoes are embroidered with phoenixes, and the phoenixes come from the sky to the earth."
Because the dragons on the candles are both made of candles and are burned together when burning, so the saying goes "go out of the fire". Because the phoenix is ??embroidered on the shoes worn on both feet, it is said to "come to the edge of the earth". Lianhua uses contradictions to unify and express interest.
6. "Lianyu" says that in the Yanzijiwu Temple in Nanjing, by the end of the Qing Dynasty, there was only one idol with a reining horse and a horizontal sword. When someone entered the temple and saw it, he got the following couplet: "There is only a temple on a lonely mountain, and a general is riding a horse with a sword;
I can't get the next sentence." Later, when the scholar was rushing to take the exam, he tied his boat to the river and caught wind that two fishermen were fishing opposite each other, so he came up with the following couplet: There is a river on both sides of the bank, and the two fishermen are fishing opposite each other with double hooks.
The cleverness of couplets lies in the use of numbers. The numbers in the first couplet are all one, and the words "solitary", "lone", "one", "horizontal", "pi" and so on are used. The numbers in the second line are all two, and the use of "two", "clip", "right" and "double" in other words makes people unconsciously feel the same.
7. "Ji Xiaolan's Biography" says that when Qianlong visited Mount Tai and reached the top of the Jade Emperor, he saw Mi Gao Rock in the north of Dongyue Temple. Shangye;
Ji Dui said: It is beyond its kind, it is the best, it is as good as nature.
The couplet is a reference. Strong and deep. The first two sentences of the first couplet are originally about the teachings of Confucius, and their words come from "The Analects of Confucius." Zihan". This statement is Taishan. The first two sentences of the second couplet originally talk about the greatness of Confucius, and the words come from "Mencius." "Gongsun Chou", this also talks about Mount Tai. The first two sentences of the upper and lower couplets are self-pairing, and "Zhimi" and "Huqi" are tautology. < /p>
Bohu said to me: I became a monk but wore a yoke.
"Fa" and "法", "家" and "架" have the same pronunciation but different characters, which is a confusion. Shaving one's hair and becoming a wealthy person complements the crime of wearing a yoke.
9. "Couplets" records that the chrysanthemums are most abundant at Zhao Xiang'an's house outside Xuanwu Gate in Beijing. One day, Liu Jinmen and others borrowed the garden to admire chrysanthemums, and the owner asked for a new couplet. Asked the Lord what was good, he replied: "There is no other good thing, but I love chrysanthemums as my life." A handwritten letter from Kinmen said: I only take chrysanthemums as my life;
There is no right moment. He also asked the owner what his surname was, and he replied that his surname was Zhao, so he got the following couplet: It turns out that Songxue is a god.
Songxue is not only a natural object that is the opposite of "chrysanthemum", but also the name of Zhao Mengfu. It is undoubtedly a hint of the surname Zhao and is also a compliment to the owner.
10. "Yong'an Notes" written by Xue Cheng of the Qing Dynasty said that there was a twelve-year-old Zhusheng named Meng Zhaoxiang in Anqing, who was especially good at poetry and calligraphy. He once became famous as "Pangeng" versus "Jizi".
It happened that Zeng Guofan was stationed in Anqing, so he heard his name and summoned him. When I asked about his family background, I found out that his ancestors were also from the same family, so I guessed the four-character destiny, saying: Sun Chengzu Zhi,
The answer was: Meng Shouzengzhuan.
Meng, originally refers to Mencius, and this refers to himself. Zeng, originally refers to Zeng Zi, but hereby refers to Zeng Guofan. No wonder Zeng wanted to "praise greatly" after hearing this. The couplets are self-aligned and then the upper and lower couplets are opposite each other, which is very neat.
11. "An Introduction to Ancient and Modern Tan" records that Guan Lei's appearance is not good. When he was promoting officials, he once visited Nanxu (now Zhenjiang). I saw a guest in bright red clothes sitting with his legs spread out, looking a little arrogant. Guan politely stepped forward to ask. The answer was that he was: Prince Xima Gao Chengyu,
After a long time, Gao turned around and asked about it. Guan replied, he is: the queen rides an ox and fishes for a turtle.
Gao was horrified and asked who the official was. Guan smiled and said: "I'm not an official, I just want to be true to your words."
This kind of couplet, which does not care about the content but only wants to contrast the work, is ruthless.
12. "Famous Lian Tan Qu" stated that Zhongqing Company, the agent of Henan's famous wine "Zhuangyuan Red", and Hong Kong's "Business Daily" jointly held a campaign for Zhuangyuan Red Wine. The couplets are:
Thousand-year-old Dragon Pond Steamed Amber;
The winning couplets are more than 1,500, and the winner of the Merit Prize is the winner of five couplets. One is:
Silk fiber under Niuzhu at night.
Zhuangyuanhong has a history of more than 300 years. To say "a thousand years" is an exaggeration. Longtan is located in Wolonggang, Cai County, Henan Province. Zhuangyuanhong is brewed from this spring water. The red color of Zhuangyuan is ruddy and crystal clear, and its shape is similar to resin fossil amber, so it is replaced by the metaphor "amber".
Although "deep" in the second line is not a numeral, it must be shallow if there is depth, and there is a number implicit in it. Niuzhu. The place name is Caishiji in Dangtu, Anhui. Silk fiber can be interpreted as fishing wire or the emperor's edict. Here it refers to an ambition, that is, when Taigong fishes, it is not about the fish but about the country. This couplet is a beautiful one.
13. In the late Ming Dynasty, there was a historical record. He insisted on defending Yangzhou, the city was destroyed, and he died unyielding. In addition, during the Chongzhen period, Hong Chengchou, the minister of the Ministry of War, surrendered to the Qing Dynasty and lived in obscurity, which was looked down upon by both the government and the public. Or write a couplet saying:
Shi Jianliu's fax can be legal;
Hong En's failure to avenge him turned into a revenge.
Become enemies, harmoniously inherit the domain, and use puns in language. Combining the names of Shi Kefa and Hong Chengchou.
This couplet was later expanded to become:
Historical writings are famous, although they are not successful, they can be punished;
The great kindness is great, but they cannot repay the country but become revenge.
Although the couplets have been expanded and modified, the basic meaning and technique remain unchanged.
14. It is said that when Liu Shaoyi was a child in the Song Dynasty, one day he went with his teacher to pay homage to the famous scholar Luo Sichun. Luo Chu said to him: There are thousands of books in his family, and he has not forgotten the sixteen words of Yu Ting;
Yu Ting refers to Shun’s court. According to legend, Shun was the ruler of the ancient Ming Dynasty, so "Yu Ting" was often used as the abbreviation for "Holy Dynasty". The sixteen characters refer to "Book. "Dayu Mo" said: "The human heart is only in danger, the Taoist heart is only small, the essence is only one, and it is allowed to hold on to the center." Song Confucians regarded these sixteen characters as the principles for personal moral cultivation and state governance passed down from heart to heart by Yao, Shun and Yu. Nishan, originally the name of a mountain in Qufu, Shandong Province, refers to Confucius. The couplets use allusion and metonymy. Liu Shaoyi spoke in such a tone at such a young age in front of his seniors, which was shocking.
15. According to legend, there was a scholar in the old days who had no food or clothing. One day he was very hungry, so he lay down by a spring and drank water to satisfy his hunger. An old scholar passed by and asked him, "How can we survive with plain water if we don't have enough food and water?"
The scholar replied: The gate is closed and there is no way to escape.
Use word analysis and pun method in conjunction. "owed" and "food" form the character "drink", "bai" and "水" form the character "spring", "cai" and "men" form the character "close", and "上" and "下" form the character "ka" Character.
During the Anti-Japanese War, Chiang Kai-shek’s regime withheld educational funds at all levels, coupled with inflation, the teaching staff suffered miserably. A university teacher angrily wrote the following couplet: "If you don't have enough food to drink from the spring, how can white water satisfy your hunger? If you don't have talent to paint ink, how can black soil satisfy your hunger?" This couplet is obviously a deformed and imitated couplet of an old scholar. The method is exactly the same as before.
16. "The Grand View of China's Ancient and Modern Artful Couples" states that during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Ai Zixiu and Zhang Juzheng passed the same examination, and Ai ranked at the bottom of the list, which was formerly known as the Beihu List. Zhang Chaozhi said:
Ai studies on his own, but he should not study on his own. After Zhang became prime minister, it was said that he had an affair with the queen, and Ai seized on this.
Then I got the second line:
Zhang Juzheng, who is not upright but not upright, the black-hearted prime minister is lying on the dragon bed.
The couplets are very accurate. The two couplets first use embedded names, and then couplets ("self-study, self-study" and "juzheng, juzheng") and tautology (revision, correction).
17. "The Record of Xiaoxiao" says that Tang Bohu wrote a couplet for a businessman, saying: "Business is like spring, and wealth is like water." The man felt that the meaning of the couplet was not obvious and he was not satisfied. . Tang Bohu wrote another one for him, saying:
The business in front of the door is like mosquitoes in the summer moon, coming in and out;
The copper coins in the cabinet are like lice in winter, the more they catch, the more they catch. The more.
The man left with great joy.
Mosquitoes and lice are bloodthirsty animals that everyone hates when they see them. This is a metaphor for business and copper coins, and the image is self-explanatory. This businessman was actually "overjoyed", which shows his ignorance and shallowness, and this is where the connection lies. In addition to metaphors, this couplet also uses tautology (team, Yue).
18. "Jie Renyi" says that Yao Guangxiao, a monk in the Ming Dynasty, met Lin Yushi on the street. Lin said:
The wind blows the Arhat and shakes the monk,
Yao said to him: The rain hits Vajra and showers the Lord.
Arhat, the highest ideal status in Hinayana Buddhism, is second only to Bodhisattva. Because they are all bald, they are often used as an honorific title for monks. Shake, harmonious Yao. King Kong, the Buddhist protector god, is called "Sir" because of his large size. Lin, Xie Lin. Embedded names and puns are used in the couplet.
19. From the Qing Dynasty, Wei Wei was appointed as the chief examiner in Jiangnan. He visited Bibo Cave on a day trip and saw the following couplet posted on the right side of the cave entrance:
A purple golden dragon with black beard and iron claws rode auspicious clouds out of the Bibo Cave entrance. ;
Zhou Qi Weisuo's pen couplet is on the left side:
Red ears, silver teeth and white jade, looking at the bright moon, lying in the green grass pond.
The combination is interesting with colors. The upper couplet contains the three colors of black, purple and green, while the lower couplet contains the three colors of red, white and green. The names of "Purple Gold Dragon", "Bibo Cave", "White Jade Free" and "Green Grass Pond" are also embedded. Very vivid.
20. During the Cultural Revolution, a semi-literate man was sent to a library as a resident representative to lead the study of "Anti-Dulin". When people criticize, they often say "What nonsense is Dulin talking about?" But the representative in the embassy did not understand, and mistakenly thought that "Du Linhu" was someone from China, so he loudly said: "Du Linhu is anti-Marxist and Mao Zedong Thought, and should be pulled out and shot!" This person also copied the novel "Mirror" "Huayuan" is read as "Jinghualu". So someone took this as the title and wrote a couplet like this:
A rare book of a generation, a mirror of flowers,
Du Linhu, a famous scholar of the ages.
This couplet first records its misreading, then its misinterpretation, and satirizes it, using the "feibai" technique.
21. "Jianhu Ji" says that the people of Changshu were very proud of their talents. When he lived in Chengjun, he was humiliated by Qiu Zhongshen, so he entered the academy to teach. A couplet in the letter was written in Minglun Hall:
The articles are as high as those of the Imperial Academy, and the laws are stricter than those of the Imperial Academy.
Hanlin Academy, official signature. In the Qing Dynasty, he was in charge of compiling national history and drafting imperial edicts. The members who serve in it are selected by those who pass the annual examination. Dharma, this refers to the concept of learning. The Ministry of Justice is the highest judicial authority in a province.
This couplet is still conceited, and it can be said that the writing is as good as the person. The couplet uses metonymy, Hanlin Academy represents Hanlin bachelor, and Chasi represents Chasi according to Chasi's laws.
22. Yuan Mei's "Suiyuan Poetry Talk" contains a poem couplet by Jiang Qifeng, a Jinshi during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty: "Life can only be done if you practice well, and nothing in the world is as difficult as eating." Later, I don't know who changed it into a couplet, saying: "Life is a life." As long as you study well,
Nothing in the world is as difficult as eating.
This couplet only changes Jiang Lian's "only" to "wei" and "practice" to "study", and the realm is quite different. This kind of change of couplets of other poems to create new ideas is called "detransformation".
The word "life" may also be used as "the world". "Jian" and "下" are both locative words, so they are more accurate. But the world is the world, and it seems undesirable to put palms together.
23. In the winter of 1921, Comrade Chen Yi was sent back to France by the French government for causing trouble at school. During the Spring Festival, he wrote this couplet to his home:
New Year Sad, sad every year, sad every year;

24. Since the late Qing Dynasty, my country has produced a number of outstanding opera performing artists, four of whom are Xiao Cuihua, Xiao Cuixi, Ma Lianliang and Ma Liankun. Or embed the names of four people and write a couplet:
Xiao Cuihua, Xiao Cuixi, one literary and one military, one Beijing and one Han;
Ma Lianliang, Ma Liankun, same hometown, same surname, same religion Same subject.
Xiao Cuihua, the stage name of Peking Opera actor Yu Lianquan, a native of Beijing. Xiao Cuixi, a Han opera actor, is from Wuhan. Ma Lianliang is from the Hui ethnic group, as is Ma Biankun, and both he and Ma Lianliang are from Beijing. They share the same religion and believe in Islam. We are in the same subject, studying with old students. In addition to embedding the name, the couplet also makes use of the same characters in the person's name, and repeats the word "一" and the word "同".
25. Zhao Yi of the Qing Dynasty's "Eaves Exposure Miscellaneous Notes" says that there was a young monk in Jinshan Temple who was good at talking to each other. The prefect of Runzhou (the government was in Zhenjiang) came out to talk to him and said:
Shi Junzihua, Red in the morning and purple in the afternoon;
The young monk replied:
Polypoplyris is green in spring, green in summer, and yellow in autumn.
Lianyu*** contains six colors. Shi Junzi and Poppy are embedded names, and the second sentence of the upper and lower couplets is a self-pairing.
26. "Lianyu" says that in the Yanzijiwu Temple in Nanjing, by the end of the Qing Dynasty, there was only one idol of a reining horse and a horizontal sword. Someone entered the temple and saw it and got the couplet:
In a lonely temple alone on a mountain, there is a general with a sword and a horse;
I didn't get the couplet. Later, when the scholar who was rushing to take the exam tied up his boat on the river bank, he saw two fishermen fishing opposite each other, so he got the following couplet:
There is a river on both sides of the bank, and two fishermen fishing opposite each other with double hooks.
The skill of couplets lies in the use of numbers. The numbers in the first couplet are all one, and the words "solitary", "lone", "one", "horizontal" and "pi" are used in other words. The numbers in the second line are all two, and the words "two", "clip", "pair" and "double" are used in other words. It makes people feel a sense of similarity.

Half drunk and half awake at midnight;
The Yuan Lord smiled and said, tomorrow There was no need to leave too early, he even got a seven-character couplet:
Arrive at Sanhe at three o'clock.
Take off, kowtow and thank you, and then stop having fun.
The couplets are running pairs. The first line reiterates the word "half", the second line repeats the word "three", and embeds the name "three rivers".
28. "Dui Lei" contains a couplet:
Horses are caged in cages, horses are caged with pine trees, and caged pine horses run away;
A chicken cage covers a chicken cage. If the cover is broken, the chicken will fly if the cover is broken.
There are many techniques for this couplet. Horse cage and horse cage, horse cage and horse cage, chicken cover and chicken cover, chicken cover and chicken cover are loops within the sentence. The cage is loose, the cage is loose, the cover is broken, the cover is broken, and the cover is broken. Both "cage" and "cage" are a noun and a verb, and they are also different categories.

Let the door officer hand over to Sun Yat-sen. The couplet said:
When I saw a first-grade official with a three-character post, a Confucian scholar dared to call me brother;
Sun Yat-sen immediately wrote the next couplet and passed it in:
Traveling a thousand miles, After reading thousands of books, a commoner can be proud of a prince.
Zhang Zhizhi saw this and was secretly amazed. He immediately ordered the central gate to be opened to welcome him.
Zhang Zhidong was showing off his official airs in the couplet, while Sun Yat-sen was impressed by his sentiments in the couplets: "Thousands of nobles were in the age of filth". Both of them have different identities.

The magnolia blossoms in Yulan Hall cross the fence to block the rest of the view
Qing Dynasty The clear fragrance of the lotus on the banquet attracts the love of the swallows and drowns the clear smoke
This couplet is won by the clever use of words with the same or close pronunciation. Read this couplet repeatedly and quickly to create a tongue twister. Yulan Hall, located on the bank of Kunming Lake in the Summer Palace, was the residence of Emperor Guangxu. The Qing Yanfang, a stone boat, is located on the west bank of Wanshou Mountain in the Summer Palace and is a famous water building in the garden.
31. "Funny and Wonderful Couplets" says that in the Ming Dynasty, Xie Jin had a banquet with friends one day. The friend's couplet says:
In the first ten days of the month and in the middle of the middle ten days, look at the sun on the new moon;
Xie Jin's antithesis:
May 5th, September 9th, Dragon Boat Festival Double Ninth Festival.
The first ten days of each month are the first ten days of the month, and the first day of the Lunar New Year (i.e. the first ten days of the month) is the new day. The tenth day in the middle is the middle day, and the fifteenth day (i.e. the middle day) is the Wangri day. The fifth day of May is the Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanyang. The ninth day of September is the Double Ninth Festival, also known as the Double Ninth Festival.
The first two sentences of the upper and lower couplets are each palindrome, and the last sentence is embedded with four names. "Xun" and "Sun", "Moon" and "Yang" are also tautology.
32. According to legend, "Ruthless Pair" was created by Zhang Zhidong in the Qing Dynasty. In this form of couplets, the sentences and couplets form separate chapters, and they can be echoed up and down through different interpretations. One day, Zhang Zhidong was having a drink at Taoranting. He used a poem by a contemporary poet as the last sentence: "The tree has half rested and the ax has been lifted." Zhang responded with "Sure enough, it has nothing to do with it", while another person responded with "Xiao He's Three Strategies". An Liu".
In the upper and lower couplets, "tree", "fruit" and "xiao" are all plants and trees; "ji", "ran" and "he" are all empty characters; "half", "one" and "three" " are all numbers; "Xun", "Dian" and "CE" are all converted into verbs; "Xiu", "Bu" and "Ding" are all fictitious characters; "Zong", "Xiang" and "An" are all fictitious characters; "axe" "," Qian" and "Liu" are ancient weapons. Especially Zhang Zhidong's couplets, which use native dialects to verses, are even more eclectic.
32. It is said that General Zhang Xueliang once wrote a couplet saying:
These two words make people think they are unworthy
I have mistakenly thought that I am smart in my life
Two words, namely "unworthy". This places "unworthy" after "unworthy", which is an inversion of appositive. During the September 18th Incident, Chiang Kai-shek ordered Zhang Xueliang not to resist and to withdraw from the Northeast. Zhang felt deeply regretful for carrying out the order, and the first couplet reflects this feeling. The second line of the second line is proved by the Xi'an Incident that happened later. Even if you believed in Chiang Kai-shek's "promise" and was sentenced to life-long house arrest, this put "smartness" behind, which is also an inversion.
33. "Suyuelou Couplet" says that Qin Jianquan, the number one scholar in Qianlong's reign, was a bachelor of Jiangning (now Nanjing), Qin Hui, and a native of Jiangning. People think that Jianquan is the Queen of Hui. One day when Jianquan arrived at the West Lake, someone asked him to pay homage to Yue's tomb and write a couplet. Jianquan had no choice but to write a couplet:
People have no name since the Song Dynasty
I went to the tomb. I am ashamed to have the surname Qin
The judgment of loyalty and traitor is like ice. Qin Hui harmed Yue Fei and left such a bad legacy!
"Unnamed cypress" is also called "shame-named cypress", and also "shame-named cypress". Coupled language wins by expressing true feelings.
34. "Chang'an Hakka" says that Ming Taizu and Liu Sanwu traveled incognito and went to the market to have a drink without anything to drink. Zhu Chu said:
There were three cups and five cups in the small village shop, but there was nothing.
Before Sanwu could go out, the shopkeeper arrived with wine and said casually:
< p>The Ming Dynasty unified all directions, regardless of north and south.The next morning, a decree was sent to the court to summon the shopkeeper and offer him an official position, but the shopkeeper refused.
Things, in the couplet, refer to snacks, but they can also express direction. The second line "North and South" is exactly opposite to the meaning of its direction, which is a borrowing.
35. It is said that there was an old man Wang in a certain place who was very good at making couplets. A nearby Zhu Xiucai was quite disapproving when he saw his ordinary appearance. One day, the scholar came to the door and said:
Old man Wang is rustic
Old man Wang said to him:
Mr. Zhu is half in the shape of an ox
Scholar silent.
Zhu Xiucai’s first couplet used the word analysis method. Because the three characters "王", "老" and "之" all contain the character "Tu", it is said that "the whole body is rustic". Old Wang's couplets also use character analysis. Because the three characters "Zhu", "Xian" and "生" all contain the character "ox", and they are all in the upper part, it is said to be "half-cut cow shape".
37. "Funny and Wonderful Couples" says that Yu Dafu visited the West Lake in Hangzhou one year and had dinner at a tea pavilion. Facing the nearby water and distant mountains, I came up with a sentence after the meal: Three Zhus, Six Bridges, Nine Streams and Eighteen Streams, but I didn't get the right sentence for a while. It happened that the master reported the account and said: One tea, four plates, two powder, five thousand coins. Dafu thought the master was talking about a couplet, and after talking to him, he couldn't help but laugh.
Three Zhus refer to upper, middle and lower. Six bridges refer to the six bridges on Su Causeway, namely Yingbo Bridge, Suolan Bridge, Wangshan Bridge, Yadi Bridge, Dongpu Bridge and Kuahong Bridge. Jiuxi is in the southwest of Yanxia Ridge. The Eighteen Streams are in the west of Longjing.
The combination of coincidence and misunderstanding is the fun of this couplet. The upper couplet is all about the landscape of Hangzhou, and the second couplet is all about the food bills and accounts. The numbers on the two couplets are particularly neat, which is rare.
38. Lou and Xue were friends in the old days. Lou first developed in the south and was quite successful. Xue wanted to join him, but Lou declined: the sun in the south of the Yangtze River was so warm that it was difficult to store snow. Later Xue went to the north to make a living. After many ups and downs, he finally established a family business. At this time, Lou was declining day by day, and he had no choice but to live in Xuexia. Xue replied: "The wind in Saibei is too high to live in a building." "Xue" and "Xue", "Lou" and "Lou" are homophonic puns. This couplet is perfect.
39. Lin Daqin, the number one scholar in the Qing Dynasty, was famous for his talent in his youth.

40. On the wedding night of a certain couple in the old days, the groom took off the bride’s hijab and suddenly a couplet appeared: They had not met each other eighteen years ago. The bride is a courageous and knowledgeable woman, and she responded in a soft voice: "You will know the truth after two or three updates." Wonderful! It's all in this word.
41. In the old days, there was a poor scholar who loved to fight against injustices, for which he was framed by the rich gentry. When the case was tried in court, the county magistrate knew who he was and wanted to find a reason to release him, so he said: "I will give you a couplet. If you can get it right, you will be exempted; if you can't, you will be severely punished." The sentence goes: "Clouds lock the mountains, which peak can be reached?" The scholar saw the sunlight coming through the hole in the wall and said to him: "The sun is leaking through the wall. It's hard to get this bare stick!" Cherish each other, and the results are self-evident.
The story of Ji Xiaolan, a famous scholar in the Qing Dynasty, who was stumped by a warrior on a river boat. The boat the warrior took had sails, but Ji Xiaolan's boat had no sails and needed a oar. Wufu's couplet is: "Two boats are running parallel, and the oar speed is not as fast as the sail." Here we use the homophony of "Oar Speed" and "Lu Su", and the homophony of "Fan Kuai" and "Fan Kuai", indicating that writing is not as good as martial arts. Ji Xiaolan was wrong for a while and was trapped for several days, feeling depressed. It wasn't until I arrived in Fuzhou a few days later to preside over the college examination ceremony and heard the music that I suddenly realized that the second couplet should be: eight notes playing in unison, how can the clearness of the flute be compared to Xiao He? Here, "Di Qing" and "Di Qing" are homophonic, and "Xiao He" and "Xiao He" "" is a homophonic pronunciation, saying that martial arts is not as good as literature.
Ouyang Xiu Miao's confrontation with the customs
When he was a boy, Ouyang Xiu's family was impoverished and he traveled around in order to find a living and study. When he was twelve years old, he hurriedly walked to the gate of Xiangyang City with his book bag on his back. He saw that the city gate was closed. He looked up and saw a veteran guarding the city. He raised his hands and saluted, "Can you please open the door and let the students into the city?" "The old soldier didn't dare to open the city gate against the rules, but when he heard that he was a very polite and eloquent primary school student, he felt compassion and said: "As a scholar, I will tell you that you are right and let you enter the city; yes, you will be allowed to enter the city. If you don't come out, you can come in tomorrow morning." The old man read out the first couplet early and passed the pass late. Ouyang Xiu thought for a moment and said, "It's easy to make a pair, but it's hard to make a pair. Please do it first, sir." The old soldier said loudly: "I want you to be right!" Ouyang Xiu said with a smile: "The student has already been right." The old soldier thought about it, suddenly realized, and immediately went down to the tower and opened the city gate. It turns out that the second couplet is: It is easy to deal with it, but it is difficult to deal with it. Sir, please deal with it first

Xu Xi took office and kept the order. All living beings welcome each other. Zhusheng thought that Xu was born in poverty and was quite rude when meeting each other. The guardian was so angry that he went out to test the students: if you break the pomegranate, there will be many sour seeds in the red door. All the creatures looked at each other, no one could look at them. Xu replied: Bite open the ginkgo, and you will see an adult in white clothes. Legend has it that Su Dongpo of the Song Dynasty took a boat to take the exam in his early years. He encountered wind and waves on the way and missed the start of the exam. At first, the examiner did not allow Su Dongpo to enter. Later, after hearing Su's story, he suddenly felt compassion and recited a couplet for him to answer. If he got the answer correct, he would make an exception and allow him to enter the examination. The couplet issued by the examiner was: "A small boat carried two or three candidates, and after traveling on the water for four to five days, they arrived in Jiujiang in a confused manner. They arrived very late." Su Dongpo is worthy of being a talented man of his generation, and he answered the question after a moment's thought. The second line of the antithesis: "In ten years of hard work, I read ninety-eight volumes of poetry and books, rushed to seven or sixty-five examination rooms, and went to the second door three times. I must enter." Use the order of the sentences and the reverse order of the couplets. There are scenes, processes, experiences, twists and turns but not rigidity, which can be regarded as a coincidence.
