How is a trademark transfer considered successful?

Hello, a transfer certificate will be issued after the trademark transfer is successful, and a new trademark registration certificate will not be issued in a new name. A successfully registered trademark uses a transfer certificate and the original trademark registration certificate to prove trademark rights; after the trademark transfer is successful in the registration application, the trademark registration certificate issued later will be in a new name.

Trademark transfer process:

1. Both parties to the trademark transfer sign a "Trademark Transfer Contract/Agreement".

2. The trademark holder shall apply for trademark notarization and obtain the "Trademark Declaration Notarization Certificate". (Not required procedures, please refer to the requirements after review by the Trademark Office)

3. Submit the prepared transfer application materials and notarial certificate to the Trademark Office and pay the transfer fee.

4. The Trademark Office issues a letter of acceptance and begins review.

5. The Trademark Office publishes an announcement and issues a "Certificate of Approval of Transfer of Registered Trademark" to both parties.

The completion time of registered trademark transfer procedures is generally 6-8 months. As long as the procedures and materials are complete and there are no problems such as irregular use, the transfer will generally be approved.
