There are two kinds of IQ ~
One was used a long time ago, called Bi IQ, which was put forward by Biner. It is the value obtained by dividing psychological age (also called intellectual age) by physiological age (that is, real age) and multiplying it by 100. The average value of this algorithm is 100, but there may be a huge value. The highest IQ in history is an American girl with a score of 200+. But people find that this algorithm is not accurate, and there is a fatal flaw, that is, the relationship between IQ and age ~ ~
With the growth of age, the level of intelligence is also improving, so the IQ remains basically the same. But after entering adulthood, the intelligence level will no longer improve (because it is already very high), and the age is still increasing, then the IQ will decline! ! In old age, people's IQ is even lower than that of children, but the ability of the elderly to solve problems is obviously stronger than that of children. Therefore, the definition of this ratio IQ is considered problematic.
The other one, commonly used now, is called biased IQ, which was put forward by wexler. Statistical derivative. The IQ of people of the same age in all mankind is normally distributed. After measurement, the average value of this normal distribution is 100, and the standard deviation is 16 (some theories think it is 15). After studying the normal distribution, we know that although the normal distribution has no upper and lower limits, it basically has no value except for plus or minus three standard deviations, and we can roughly think that the limit is plus or minus three standard deviations. Therefore, the distribution of human IQ is from 100- 16*3 to 100+ 16*3, that is, 52 to 148. Of course, there will be very few cases ~ ~ For example, cerebral palsy is very low and genius is very high, but the IQ has been greatly improved.
Just now, I said that biased IQ is measured by people of different ages, so that the relationship between age and IQ is separated and the problem of ratio IQ is solved.
So in this sense, IQ has little to do with age. The level of intelligence is related to age. In childhood, the level of intelligence increases with age, a bit like a proportional relationship. After adulthood, the intelligence level reached a plateau, remained motionless, and the age continued to increase. There is no relationship between the two. In old age, Jamlom's intelligence level will decline.
But some people disagree with this view. The difference lies in the definition of intelligence.
Some people think that intelligence is the result of education. If a person has no education, his intelligence level is very low, but once he has received education, his level will be greatly improved. From this perspective, the definition of intelligence is not perfect.
Another attack comes from the classification of intelligence. Intelligence is not only the result of education, but also the function of personal experience. For example, although the elderly are no longer educated and their cognitive ability declines, they have accumulated a lot of life experience and their ability to solve daily problems is stronger than that of young people with high academic qualifications. So intelligence should include more things.
