What does clothing foaming process mean?

The foaming process for clothing is a foam printing process, referred to as foam printing.

It is to add a certain proportion of chemical substances with high expansion coefficient to the glue printing dye. After the printed position is dried, it is foamed at a high temperature of 200-300 degrees to achieve a "relief"-like effect. Three-dimensional effect.

Foam printing is also called three-dimensional printing. The foam printing process is developed on the basis of the glue printing process. The foam printing process can produce high, medium and low foaming effects according to the requirements of the substrate, which is very eye-catching. The advantage is that the three-dimensional effect is very strong, and the printing surface is prominent and expanded. Widely used in cotton, nylon cloth and other materials.

The raw materials of foam printing are composed of thermoplastic resin, foaming agent, colorant, etc.

Take clothing foam printing and socks foam printing as examples. The foaming process principle used is physical foaming. When the microcapsule resin mixed into the printing paste is heated, the resin solvent forms gas, and then turns into bubbles, and the volume increases accordingly. This is the principle of foam printing that we often come into contact with.

There are four requirements for foam printing. Let’s take a look at them together:

(1) Foam printing effect is suitable for socks and socks. On the design of clothing cutting pieces, it can also be combined with other flat patterns that do not require foaming to make a set of printed patterns. Draw a three-dimensional outline on the general flat pattern. Or use foam printing on key highlighted parts of the flat pattern to give a relief effect.

(2) On the clothing pieces, the space for foam printing design can be larger. It is not limited by area size and light color. Sometimes all the patterns on the piece are foam printed, and the three-dimensional effect is very obvious, such as cartoon patterns on children's shirts, advertising trademarks, etc.

(3) The foam printing patterns on the printed fabric should be scattered and small, giving people an embroidery-like feeling. If the area is too large, it will affect the feel. The area is too small and the foaming effect is not ideal. The color should not be too dark. White or medium-light color is appropriate.

(4) When foam printing is printing in multiple colors, it should be printed in the last color to avoid affecting the foaming effect. And it is advisable to use a cold platen. Prevent printing paste wall mesh.
