1. Trademark inquiry: inquire whether the applied trademark is similar to or the same as the registered trademark in Iraq, so as to increase the success rate of trademark registration;

2. Submit an application: submit a trademark application to the Iraqi Industrial Property Office and submit the documents required for the trademark application;

3. Trademark review: After receiving the trademark application, the Iraqi Industrial Property Office will conduct formal review and substantive review (including the review of relative reasons and absolute reasons);

4. Trademark announcement: After examination, the trademark deemed by the Iraqi Industrial Property Office to be eligible for registration will be announced in the official Iraqi journal for public evaluation;

5. Registration approval: If there is no objection after the announcement, or if the objection is ruled invalid, the Iraqi Industrial Property Office will allow the registration of the trademark and issue a trademark registration certificate to the applicant.
