White Rabbit

Our country had trademark awareness as early as the Northern Song Dynasty. At present, the earliest trademark found in my country

began in the Northern Song Dynasty. At that time, shopping malls and commercial organizations were quite developed. In order to promote their products and maintain their reputation, handicraft producers specially designed and used trademarks.

At that time, there was a Liu Family Needle Shop in Jinan Prefecture, Shandong Province, which specialized in making fine kung fu needles. They designed and produced a copper plate specifically for printing trademarks, with the white rabbit as the product symbol. This is the first trademark discovered in my country and is now preserved in the Chinese History Museum (Shanghai). This white rabbit trademark has both text and graphics. It is nearly square, 13 cm high and 20.5 cm wide. The name of the shop is inscribed on the upper end: "Jinan Liujia Gongfu Needle Shop" in Shandong. The white rabbit picture in the middle means "Jade Rabbit Pound". The meaning of "medicine" is engraved with four characters on each side, "recognize the white rabbit in front of the door as a mark", and the following seven lines of twenty-eight characters read: "Buy high-quality steel bars, make fine needles, and do not miss the use of the house. Guests If you turn into a trader, please remember Bai (rabbit)."
