Where it is necessary to continue to use a registered trademark after the expiration of its term of validity, it shall go through the renewal procedures in accordance with the regulations before the expiration of the term 12 months; If it has not been handled during this period, it can be extended for six months.
If the renewal formalities are not completed at the expiration of the period, the registered trademark shall be cancelled.
In other words, if the trademark renewal procedures are completed within six months after the expiration of the trademark validity period, then the trademark is still salvageable only by paying the extension fee for trademark renewal. The renewal can extend the validity of the trademark right for ten years, not from the time when the renewal is completed, but from the day after the last expiration of the trademark. In this case, the expiration of the trademark will not lead to the invalidation of the trademark, so contact the trademark agent to renew the trademark.
