Discover Card is a credit card widely used in the United States. From 1985 to 2007, it was controlled by financial institutions such as American financial oligarch Morgan Stanley, and promoted and issued by the retail company Sears. In 2007, Discover Financial Services became an independent financial company and changed the Discover card logo. Most cards bearing the Discover brand are issued by Discover Bank. In February 2006, Discover announced that it would offer a new debit card.
