What types of Red Bull are there?

Red Bull Vitamin Functional Drink is a beverage brand owned by China Red Bull Vitamin Beverage Co., Ltd. It is the earliest "Chinese Red Bull", packaged in golden tinplate cans, and has five production bases in Huairou, Beijing, Xianning, Hubei, Foshan, Guangdong, Gui'an New District, Guizhou, and Yixing, Jiangsu.

Brand History

"Red Bull" is one of the first and most well-known energy drinks in the world. In the 1970s, the factory of Xu Shubiao, the founder of Red Bull beverage, developed a "nourishing drink" containing water, sugar, caffeine, vitamin B and other ingredients, and named it "Red Bull".

With the international success of Red Bull, Mr. Xu Shubiao decided to introduce Red Bull to China in order to repay his hometown. In 1993, Mr. Xu Shubiao established Hainan Red Bull Beverage Co., Ltd. in Hainan, where his ancestral home is, and Red Bull entered China. In 1995, Mr. Xu Shubiao and his family established Red Bull Vitamin Drink Co., Ltd. (joint venture) with other shareholders.

In September 2018, the joint venture’s operating period expired. In 2019, Tencel Group joined hands with local partners Guangzhou Yao Energy Drink Company and Pusheng Food Sales Co., Ltd. to launch two products, Red Bull Vitamin Flavored Drink and Red Bull Vitamin Taurine Drink, in the domestic market.
