Architectural characteristics of Tiancheng Temple
Tiancheng Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty. The Preface to Tiancheng Temple said: "There are buildings at the entrance of the temple overlooking the foothills, such as deep alleys, springs and terraces. Overlooking the forest is a natural painting. " The name of the temple means "painting naturally". Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty all visited Tiancheng Temple. Gan Long cruised the most, and his double monk became a monk here. During the Peach Blossom Festival in Panshan Mountain from the first day of March to the fifteenth day, if you are lucky, monks and ordinary people will pay homage to the emperor. To the east of the temple gate, there is a two-story sleeping cloud building with six high cornices. In rainy weather, white clouds pass through or cover the building, hence the name. At the foot of the hill opposite the building, there is a small stage venue. It is the place where Emperor Qianlong used imperial troupes and musicians to perform while sleeping in the Cloud Tower to enjoy the scenery.

Stepping into the temple gate, you can see the pavilion with carved beams and painted buildings. The winding corridor in the pavilion yard. After three halls, I boarded the Kantai, which is an open courtyard surrounded by mountains on three sides. There are great halls, vermilion columns and colorful roofs in the courtyard, which are magnificent. There are two thousand-year-old ginkgo trees in front of the temple, with a trunk circumference of 3. 1 m and a height of 25 meters. They are all women. There is an annex building on the east side of the hall. Behind the main hall is Cuiping Peak, towering ancient trees and a stone cliff. There are two square pools under the stone wall. There is a spring in the pool, named trickling spring. Do not work all the year round, crystal clear. It is a rare mineral water. On the west side of Daxiong Hall, there is a square stone platform, on which stands a pale yellow ancient tower. This is the key cultural relics protection unit in Tianjin: the ancient pagoda. On Wednesday, the hall was a high dam platform made of huge stones. Climb the stairs, and a boulder lying on your back is engraved with the word "secluded place". On the abutment is an open-air courtyard surrounded by mountains on three sides. The main hall is built at the foot of Cuiping Peak, with bright red columns and bright colored roofs. Emperor Qianlong wrote a plaque in the Hall of Ursa Major: "Pure and Wonderful Sounds". There is a slightly smaller annex hall on the east side, in front of which stands a dry "Journey to Panshan" and poems about Panshan. On the abutment in front of the temple, there are two 800-year-old ginkgo trees standing shoulder to shoulder, with a trunk circumference of 3. 1 m and a height of 25 meters. They stand upright and block out the sun.

Behind the main hall is a cliff with a knife and a pen. "Thousands of camphor trees in ancient trees are known to burst out of the stone and covered with layers of scales." Extremely steep, scholars of all ages wrote poems on the cliff. There are two pools under the stone wall, named "Juanquan", which are crystal clear and dry all year round, clear and sweet. It is a rare natural mineral water recognized by relevant departments.

On the west side of Daxiong Hall stands a pale yellow ancient pagoda, the ancient Buddha Pagoda. According to legend, there are more than 30,000 sacred objects in the tower. The tower was built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing and Liao Dynasties. Stone envelopes, relics and Buddha statues were found during the reconstruction of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty. In order to repair the tower, the famous monk Rufang pricked blood in the scriptures for seven years and sold it to save money. When he started to work, he "felt the white light of Zhu Tian, just like a jade bridge, which will last forever". The tower is 22.63 meters high and 3.38 meters long, with octagonal 13 floors. It is exquisite in structure and elegant. The tower foundation consists of granite sumeru and three layers of flowers. There is a door on the front of the tower, a built-in Buddhist niche and a embossed flower window on the side. The eaves are made of imitation wood carvings and brick carvings. On the 13th floor, the bronze priest 104 hangs, resplendent and magnificent, with a mountain wind and Xu Lai, and the clanging cymbals can be heard for miles away. There is a thousand-year-old cypress in front of the tower, which is the oldest tree in Tianjin. Its trunk is thick and its branches are curved. Pale yellow pagoda, with Cuiping Peak and Feibo River complement each other, has the magnificent scenery of "the tower shadow passes through the valley and the eyes are blue", and "the ancient temple sees the tower in front of it", which has become the symbol of Tiancheng Temple. There is also a monk's tomb tower in front of the temple, which used to be a tomb tower with a slope. Now only the following part is left, which is a relic of the Liao Dynasty. The ancient Buddha Pagoda is a municipal cultural relic protection unit.

There is a stone building on the east side of the tower, and the scriptures were written by the Liao Dynasty. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Dalagni Buddha's mantra was polished and engraved on three sides, recording that the golden Buddha lit a lamp. Tashi is the spiritual tower of Chegong elders and monks. There is a snake hole in the pagoda. According to legend, there are 72 snakes hidden in the cave. They dive under the pagoda during the day and climb it at night to protect it. Sometimes he sneaked into the temple and squatted under the seat to listen to the old monk.

There is a "flying silk stream" in the west of Chegongling Tower. In summer and autumn, the stream flows down from the peak of Cuiping, which is shaped like a flying silk, hence the name.

There is a huge stone platform to the east of the temple gate, and there is a magnificent sleeping cloud building on the platform. Two-story and six-story buildings with high ridges and cornices are gorgeous and refined, which is extremely spectacular. Every rainy day, white clouds often walk through the valley, or hide in the building, or pass through the building, which is very interesting, hence the name. The winding path in front of the temple is secluded. On both sides, there are "Entering Victory", "Sizheng Gate Path" and "Mountain Wonders and Rocks" inscribed by celebrities in previous dynasties, including Dayuan Gemstone, Xianren Bridge and welcoming pine. The welcoming pine has sparse branches and leaves, and it looks like reaching for the cellar.
