Graphics card door
The word graphics chip is a new word of computer hardware, which came into being in 2009. Since NVIDIA Company introduced the 8400GS860GS9200GS9600MGS graphics card with G86 as the core, many users found that the computer was very hot in the early stage, used for a long time, or crashed, and finally it could not be displayed when it was turned on directly. After major PC manufacturers jointly appealed, NVIDIA was forced to admit that the graphics card with G86 as the core was defective!
There are defects in the GPU packaging process of graphics card with NVIDIA G86 as the core. The chip with G86 as the core is packaged by 65nm process, and there are defects in the bonding material between the chip and PCB during GPU packaging. Too high temperature during GPU operation leads to virtual welding between GPU and PCB! Because there is a problem with the internal heat-shrinkable material, the graphics card finally won't work.
NVIDIA introduced two measures to fix this defect in the later period. First, it introduced its own improved graphics card. The chip model of the original graphics card is G86-620-A2, the improved version is G86-62 1-A2, the improved version is G86-63 1-A2, and the improved version is G86-740-A2. The improved graphics card not only improves the calorific value of the graphics card, but also changes the process from 65 nm to 45 nm. After 20 10, all products are packaged with 45 nm white glue.
NVIDIA released a new driver software to solve this problem. The purpose is to reduce the heat dissipation pressure of the display chip by driving the system fan to run ahead of time, and to control the core temperature of the GPU to change too fast to protect the notebook. However, this is only a stopgap measure, not a permanent solution.
