The foundation for the second phase of the FAW-Volkswagen Foshan Factory project was laid in early May 2014. After the project is completed, it will have an annual production capacity of 300,000 vehicles, including 110,000 X55 models, 150,000 Q11 models, and 40,000 M77 models. The new production line will be put into production of the latest Audi brand products and new energy vehicles. The Foshan base is FAW-Volkswagen’s first vehicle manufacturing plant to adopt the MQB platform production line. Currently, the models in production include the Golf family and the Audi A3 family. The models in production in the future will also be mainly small cars and compact cars. .
