Brief Introduction of Tianhu Farm of Shanghai Navy
Shanghai Navy Tianhu Farm was built in 1958. Initially, the farm was located not in Anhui Province, but in Jiangle and Taining counties of Fujian Province, and was named "Shanghai Local State-owned Minbei Farm". 1962 The farm was moved to Xuancheng City, Anhui Province, and renamed as Shanghai local state-owned Juntianhu Farm in southern Anhui Province. There are four branches below: Fenghe, Xiawan, Tangcun and Macun.
1974 was renamed as Shanghai Juntianhu Farm. Later, after the abolition of labor reform, the farm was renamed as "Shanghai Navy Tianhu Prison", which has been used ever since. In 2004, the farm was restructured and divided into two units: Juntianhu Prison and Juntianhu Farm Community. Juntianhu farm community operates independently and engages in the production of agricultural products such as grain and tea.
It has been 60 years since Juntianhu Farm was founded. This piece of land, which was originally turned into a wasteland, has been relatively prosperous after the hard struggle of a group of farmers in Juntianhu. The supporting facilities of Juntianhu Farm are relatively complete, including schools, hospitals, supermarkets, post offices, banks, nursing homes and neighborhood committees, which greatly facilitates people's lives.
