Xianyou Zhengzhai tea is a specialty of Xianyou, Putian, Fujian.

Xianyou Zhengzhai tea was originally produced in Zhengzhai, Shengquan Village, Xianyou County. It was first planted in the Sui Dynasty. Zhengzhai tea has become a tribute during the Tang and Song Dynasties. "Fujian Agriculture Encyclopedia" lists Zhengzhai tea as one of the seven famous teas in Fujian during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Zheng Qiao, a famous historian in the Southern Song Dynasty, said in his "Tea Picking Journey": "Long Tuan has been made well in the past, but I am not satisfied with it now." There are hundreds of feet of tortoise cover in Ande. The former is planted with Wuyi and the latter is Zheng's house. In the above-mentioned poem "Tea Picking Journey", Zheng Qiao compared Wuyi tea and Zhengzhai tea, and regarded drinking "Zhengzhai tea" as a top-quality drink.

In the Qing Dynasty, Zhengzhai tea was even more famous. According to Guo Xicang's "Fujian Producing Records": "All counties in Fujian produce tea, with Wuyi being the most famous." The book has a lot of knowledge about tea in the tea area at that time. According to a more detailed description, there is Zhengzhai tea in the Xinghuafu tea area, which was paid tribute in the Qing Dynasty and has excellent quality. Taking the records of the "Report Documents of the General Administration of Internal Affairs" in June of the ninth year of Qianlong as an example, more than 60 kinds of tea were sent as tribute from various places. Among them, Wuyi tea and Zhengzhai tea were the most favorite teas of Emperor Qianlong.

Since the new century, driven by Fujian Jinxi Tea Co., Ltd., a leading provincial agricultural industrialization enterprise, Xianyou Zhengzhai tea has been selling well at home and abroad. At present, the county has more than 30,000 acres of tea gardens, more than 100 crude tea factories, a total tea output of more than 9,000 tons, and an output value of more than 200 million yuan.
