Obsidian tea is not black tea.
Black tea, English is Black tea. During the processing of black tea, a chemical reaction centered on the enzymatic oxidation of tea polyphenols occurs. The composition of the fresh leaves changes greatly. The tea polyphenols are reduced by more than 90%, and new components and aroma substances such as theaflavins and thearubigins are produced. It has the characteristics of black tea, red soup, red leaves, sweet and mellow aroma.
For obsidian tea, mini tea heads with a diameter of less than 0.5cm are selected from the tea heads, and the loose epidermis is polished off, leaving a solid core. There are many buds in citrine stone, the degree of fermentation is deep, the content is high, the pectin is sufficient, and it is as hard as obsidian. When you smell the dry tea, there is a fresh and pleasant aroma of glutinous rice, combined with the unique sweet and sticky feeling of Lao Cha Tou tea soup, it is simply perfect.
Is obsidian tea Pu'er tea?
Obsidian tea is not Pu'er tea. Since the raw materials for processing black tea are small and medium-leaf species, its content is relatively low, especially the effective chemical ingredients. The content is small, that is, there are few beneficial ingredients such as caffeine, tea polyphenols, and tea polysaccharides. The microbial action time is relatively short, and the conversion of beneficial ingredients is relatively small. The chemical components of dark tea raw materials are not affected by light, so there is no involvement of photochemistry.
Pu'er tea is made from the fine Yunnan big-leaf species, whose fresh leaves are picked, dried, rolled, and sun-dried. It is made by technological processing and is divided into pressed tea, loose tea, ripe Pu'er tea and raw Pu'er tea. Dark tea is a fully fermented tea, named after the black color of the finished product. It is mainly distributed in Sichuan, Yunnan, Hubei, Hunan, Shaanxi and other places. Both belong to the category of aged tea, which is durable in brewing and becomes more fragrant the longer it is brewed.
