Lucky Brand LUCKYBRAND first started out with rock-style jeans. Its founders are Gene Montesano and Barry Perlman. The two have been good friends since childhood and both have a strong interest in rock and roll. 21-year-old Gene and 17-year-old Barry, along with their friend Bill Rudnick, opened a jeans store in Florida as early as 1972. In 1978, Gene moved to Los Angeles with only $100 in his hand, trying to squeeze into the fashion industry there. It was a great success more than ten years later, but in 1990, Gene left the company and decided to restart his dream, and once again invited Barry to be his business partner. In that year, LUCKYBRAND was officially born. Their aim is quality and sense of humor.
