The production of dried tea powder began in the Southern Song Dynasty in the 13th century. With the development of the industry, the dried powder industry has gradually become the pillar industry of Chakou Village. Before 2004, the output value of dried powder in Chakou was relatively low due to scattered production and low output. There is also vicious competition and competition among individual processing households to lower prices. More than 20 processing households in the village have closed down one after another. In June 2005, the Chakou Village Party Branch tried out the "branch association" working model and established the "Chakou Dried Noodles Association". After the association was established, it recruited all the more than 150 professional households in the village as members, unified the craftsmanship, improved the quality, established the brand, and worked together to enter the market. With the active assistance and guidance of the association, the village actively promotes production and supply and marketing models such as contract farming, company base farmers, branch association farmers, etc., maintaining its status as the largest dry powder production base in Minqing County. In 2010, the town's special grain planting area for dried flour reached more than 3,000 acres (double season), with an annual grain output of more than 2,000 tons, ensuring the supply of raw materials for dried flour processing. In 2004, the Chakou Village Party Branch successfully introduced an investment of 5 million yuan to establish Fuzhou Lujia Food Co., Ltd., a leading enterprise integrating the research, development, production and sales of dried powder. Based on the "company farmer" model, the company provides farmers with raw materials, technology and related standards, and the company is responsible for acquisition and sales. The company has mobilized more than 1,300 surrounding villagers to engage in powder processing industry, increasing farmers' income by more than 30,000 yuan per year.
In terms of production technology and production procedures, they continue to improve, and the quality and taste of Chakou powder are improving day by day. In particular, Minqing Chakou Powder Dried Factory boldly promoted innovation in production technology and production procedures, making the production of Chakou Powder Dried break through the process constraints of relying on natural air drying. After switching to mechanical drying, the output increased exponentially.
Dried powder production enterprises and associations also cooperate with scientific research institutions. Through the transformation of production methods, they not only expand the production scale of "Chakou dried powder", but also increase the brand's popularity. By 2011, there were two local mechanized dried powder production enterprises, Chakou Dried Noodle Factory and Lujia Food Co., Ltd., and more than 250 specialized households in dried powder processing. In 2010, the village's dried powder production reached more than 15,000 tons, with an output value of 130 million yuan. It has three registered trademarks of dried powder: "Chakou", "Shiyang Gong" and "Chafeng". By 2011, Chakou dried powder had successfully established sales outlets in Fuzhou, Nanping, Sanming, Xiamen, the United States, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and other regions or countries.
