In May 2004, Hongqi Chain Co., Ltd. issued a lawyer's letter to Chengdu Hongqi Shopping Mall Group Co., Ltd., requesting it to stop infringement of the "Hongqi" trademark and to provide financial compensation for its trademark infringement. Cao Shiru said forcefully, "Chengdu shopping malls can only have one 'red flag'. The use of trademarks does not depend on historical formation, but should respect the law."

In March 2005, Hongqi Chain Co., Ltd. acquired Chengdu through a curved approach. Hongqi Shopping Mall (Group) Co., Ltd.

On May 20, 2010, Chengdu Hongqi Chain Co., Ltd. was officially established.

In April 2012, the Hongqi chain online shopping mall will be launched.

On April 23, 2012, the Hongqi chain online shopping mall will be officially launched.
