Physical stores of Suning and Gome in some cities will have Xiaomi offline sales areas on Xiaomi event days such as the Rice Noodle Festival.

There are four types of Xiaomi or Redmi mobile phones sold through non-Xiaomi official channels:

1. It is a customized phone by the operator, usually in China Mobile Business Hall, China Unicom Business Hall, China Telecom Business Hall, etc. It is sold through business halls, Suning, Gome and other channels, such as mobile customized machines, China Unicom customized machines or telecom customized machines. The customized phone may have the operator's logo on it, the operator's logo will appear on the phone when it is turned on, and the phone will have built-in applications from the operator and some of Xiaomi's own applications will be removed. There are two types of customized machines: bare metal and contract machines, both of which are genuine. Contract phones need to be bound to a number and use a fixed phone package for a certain period of time. The bare metal price is higher than Xiaomi’s official price.

2. Scalper machine. Even if the seller hires someone to buy it from Xiaomi’s official channel and sell it at a markup, it is also genuine. However, the warranty period is not calculated based on the time when the user purchases the mobile phone, but the time when the seller receives the goods.

3. Refurbished machine. Mobile phones assembled using collected Xiaomi accessories will have the IMEI code or anti-counterfeiting code of the real phone, so the quality is not guaranteed.

4. Counterfeit phones are fakes, and the imitation technology is quite high. Official website IMEI code query verification, anti-counterfeiting code, identification software, benchmark software, etc. cannot identify the authenticity, so please be careful. Telemarketing and cash on delivery without order numbers are fake.
