Gedian section of Wuhan Metro Phase III 1 1 Line was put into operation on Line 202 1 12, which was the first subway line in Wuhan to extend outside the city, thus Ezhou entered the "subway era". As a subway station connecting Wuhan and Ezhou, the daily average passenger flow peak of Gedian South Station can reach more than 654.38+100000.

Wuhan-Ezhou regional railway, the starting point of the research project is Optics Valley Central City, and the end point is Ezhou Comprehensive Insurance Zone; The second phase of the project extends to Huangshi.
According to the introduction of Ezhou Development and Reform Commission, in order to promote the coordinated development of urban agglomerations in eastern Hubei, Ezhou actively plans to use Wuhan rail transit 13 line to extend the municipal railway of Wuhan Optics Valley Central City to Ezhou Huahu Airport via Gedian South Station, and connect Tianhe Airport and Huahu Airport by rail transit. The total length of the line is about 70 kilometers, with an estimated total investment of 30 billion yuan.
According to the plan, the Wuhan-Hubei regional railway will start from Wuhan Optics Valley Central City, pass through gedian South, Wu Si Lake, Sanjiang Port and Wu Chu Avenue, and arrive at Huahu Airport via Ezhou City. The "hard connection" of regional railways will bring the cities of Wuhan and Hubei closer together, facilitate the coordination between Huahu Airport and Tianhe Airport, promote the personnel exchange between Wuhan and Hubei, and help build an one-hour commuting circle and a one-day living circle between Wuhan and Hubei.
The plan announced by the press conference of Huangshi City is a further extension of the rail transit plan of Ezhou City, which links Wuhan, Ezhou and Huangshi more closely.
