In this regard, the old "Pingdu County Records" recorded: "Liu Cheng, whose predecessors were Ujave and Ming Taizu in Yunnan, set off for home, and made great contributions from conquering, knighting, and giving a volume of imperial capacity."
This passage briefly outlines the life of Liu Cheng, the ancestor of Liu Zhang Cun. Many families in Jiaodong have the saying that their ancestors came from Yunnan. According to records, a family named Liu in Pingdu really came from Yunnan (Yunnan in the Ming Dynasty includes a part of Guizhou now). Generally speaking, Liu Cheng is from Uzawi, Yunnan. Later, he followed Zhu Yuanzhang to conquer the world, made contributions, made him an earl, and gave him a portrait of Zhu Yuanzhang.
Liu Zushang's genealogy is similar, but his experience is more legendary. The genealogy reads: Liu Cheng once wrote poems in public at the celebration banquet and was named "King Side by Side".
Because of the long history, later generations often have deductive elements when describing the achievements of their ancestors. The title of "Union King" in Liu's genealogy is obviously a folk rumor. This title has never been used in official history, but it often appears in novels. Although the county annals have been revised and verified by scholars, there are sometimes many fallacies, among which the records of Count Liu Chengfeng are obviously fallacies. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang was knighted, and Liu Ji was the Earl of Liu.
As for the records after granting the imperial capacity, the county annals and genealogy are roughly the same. Liu Cheng settled in Pingdu on the way to the Northern Expedition, and settled in the west of Qianjinshan (the work of Jinquanshan), belonging to a military household. As the Northern Expedition belonged to Judy, Liu Cheng's family did not make any new contribution in the battle of Jingnan, but it was not affected.
Since then, Liu Chengchang's descendants have inherited the post of "Cao Bei" and were reduced to "a captain" in Wanli. Zhu Yuanzhang's portrait of our ancestors was handed down from generation to generation. It was still circulating in the world until the 1930 s, and then it disappeared.
Liu Cheng's descendants are quite prosperous. In addition to Pingdu, there are descendants of Acropolis, Fangzi, Changyi and Jimo.
