Architecture Design of Intelligent Warehouse Management System

Warehouse management based on bar code technology and wireless network technology is an important means of modern warehouse management, which has been widely used in various industries and brought great help to the modern management of the whole enterprise. So, how to build an intelligent warehouse management system?

A modern gas warehouse management system should have three basic elements, namely informationization, automation and intelligence (as shown in Figure 2). Informatization refers to the standard and standardized digital form of all warehouse gas materials information, which can be recognized and managed by computers. Automation means that the information collection and recording of all warehouse gas materials are processed by automatic equipment to minimize human intervention; Intelligence means that the warehouse management system has certain data analysis, processing and mining capabilities, and on this basis, it gives some auxiliary suggestions to optimize the operation of the warehouse, such as providing suggestions on the optimal location of materials, rationally utilizing the warehouse space, dynamically analyzing the flow speed of some materials according to the data of people and warehouses, and providing optimized inventory strategies. Many of these strategies are related to cost and capital turnover.

Although improving the information level of gas warehouse management has attracted the attention of related companies, there is still a lack of feasible operation schemes in concrete implementation. It should be reliable and cheap, which can not only improve efficiency, but also optimize cost.

In terms of data acquisition, the existing wired data acquisition system is difficult to achieve full coverage and poor flexibility because of the high cost of system software and hardware, and it is difficult to meet the complex logistics management needs.

Therefore, in order to ensure the flexibility and effectiveness of cargo data collection and transmission, the implementation of wireless network technology has become the only way, and the use of infinite barcode data collection technology has matured in some fields of warehouse management! 4] Based on the existing material warehouse management in our company, an intelligent warehouse management system using bar code wireless network acquisition technology is proposed, which uses bar code to identify materials to realize informatization, uses mobile data terminal to scan bar code to obtain material information, and inputs it into background database through wireless network to realize automation. Finally, through data analysis, suggestions on warehouse management and decision-making optimization are given, and background decision-making suggests sending tasks to mobile data terminals, so as to realize front-end control conveniently and quickly, thus realizing intelligence.

Architecture Design of Intelligent Warehouse Management System

Generally speaking, the whole intelligent warehouse management system includes three parts: (a) wireless terminal scanning and data receiving device; Personal computer; (c) Warehouse management software system.

Where (a) and (b) belong to the hardware part, and (c) belongs to the software part.

Considering the characteristics of gas storage materials, there are standard parts and non-standard parts in the materials. For non-standard parts suppliers, information in the form of bar code is usually not provided, and the terminal input system is needed to generate bar code labels for these goods. However, it is difficult to express all the information of non-standard parts out of the warehouse with bar code, and manual input is still needed to assist management.

Therefore, the system should mix automatic scanning mode and manual mode.

Fig. 3 shows the hardware structure of the system.

Warehouse management system software is the core part of the whole system, and it includes six functional sub-modules, as shown in Figure 4, including main interface module, login module, data communication module, inventory management module, data maintenance module, data analysis module and data management module.

The main interface module mainly includes the daily operation interface of the system; The login module designs the administrator's permission setting, password and log management; The communication module is responsible for data acquisition and transmission; The inventory management module includes warehouse management, inventory counting, inventory query, historical data query and other functions. Data maintenance functions include data backup and data recovery; Data analysis module includes supplier supply statistics, inventory backlog analysis, warehouse space optimization, material turnover statistics, data report generation and other functions; The data management module includes supplier data maintenance, inventory information maintenance, material data maintenance and material code setting.

Advantages of intelligent warehouse management system

Compared with the current warehouse management mode, the inventory management system has the following advantages: (1) The system cost is low, the reliability is high, the accuracy is close to 100%, and cross shipment is prevented.

Every step of the operation must be verified before it can be executed, which eliminates the possibility of error and the resulting cost; (2) Reduce labor costs, improve management efficiency and improve customer service quality.

Warehouse managers don't need to spend time looking for goods everywhere, and they don't need to manually enter a lot of data.

Managers can grasp the order status in real time and eliminate the order delay; (3) Reduce the inventory, let the goods that have just been put into storage appear on the sales list, eliminate excessive inventory, ensure safe inventory, and reduce inventory write-off.

Concluding remarks

Warehouse management based on bar code technology and wireless network technology is an important means of modern warehouse management, which has been widely used in various industries and brought great help to the modern management of the whole enterprise.

According to the present situation and characteristics of gas management in our company, a feasible intelligent gas storage management system is put forward. A complete inventory management system is composed of a simple and reliable hardware system and a powerful software system. It is hoped that through the barcode management of material supply, all aspects of warehouse management will be standardized and logistics operations will be standardized and refined.

Realize the control and management of the whole process of material supply and improve the management level of material supply.
