1. The Trademark Law of Thailand was promulgated on October 28th, 1991 and came into effect on February 13th, 1992. The Trademark Law was revised in 2 and came into effect on June 3th, 2.

2. Thailand belongs to the common law system, and the acquisition of its trademark right is mainly based on the principle of combining use and registration.

3. Thailand includes applications for registration of commodity trademarks, service trademarks, certification trademarks, collective trademarks, joint trademarks and color trademarks.

4. International Nice classification is mainly adopted, but commodity items with too narrow scope are not accepted.

5. It is also a member of the World Intellectual Property Organization (Thailand is a member of the Madrid Protocol, but not of the Madrid Agreement, and Thailand can be designated for international applications)

6. Thai is the official language (abbreviated as TH in English).
