List of common sense for Korean international students entering the country in 2020

South Korea is very close to our country. It has high education level and cheap study abroad fees. It is very popular among Chinese students. So what is the entry process into South Korea? Join me below to learn about the general knowledge list for Korean international students entering the country in 2020.

Entry process for studying in South Korea.

1. Departure.

First, board the plane anywhere, go through the check-in and luggage check-in, boarding security check, wait for boarding, and board the plane. This is basically the same step. (Generally, Chinese airlines can check in two items, while Korean Airlines can only check in one piece. But the specifics are subject to the ticket and website)

2. When taking a plane.

Generally, if you take a Chinese airline, you need to turn off your phone during takeoff, flight, and landing. Even if your phone has an airplane mode function, you still need to turn off your phone. Korean airlines allow you to set your mobile phone to airplane mode. As long as the Internet is not turned on during the flight, you can view or take pictures during the flight. So be careful, don’t use your mobile phone if you are not allowed to use it~

3. Let’s make a digression.

The in-flight meals on the plane depend on the airlines. Generally speaking, don’t have any expectations for airline meals, but the in-flight meals of Asiana and China Airlines that I flew with Amway are still worthy of praise. . I won’t say anything about Shandong Airlines’ in-flight meals. After all, it’s so close that you can eat at home. {C}

4. Arrive in South Korea.

Okay, here is the key point. On the plane, there will usually be a flight attendant who will issue you an immigration card (wide and short) and a declaration form (narrow and long). Non-group tourists and non-Korean nationals need to fill in the declaration form. If you have a landing pass, you only need to fill in the declaration form.

Just fill in what you need, all in Chinese. If it is not issued on the plane, don’t worry, it will be available at the immigration checkpoint and you can fill it out there.

5. Here is a little tip.

After taking a Chinese airline to arrive at Incheon Airport in South Korea, you need to take the small train in the airport to reach the entry security inspection area, so don’t be confused when you get off the plane, follow the crowd, you may reach the toilet, haha Haha just kidding. You can get there by following the crowd and taking a small train.

6. Entry inspection.

When standing in line, distinguish the foreign area and the Korean area. Generally, the largest number of people are foreigners. The immigration inspection area looks like this. It was also the first time I saw no one. When I walked in, I couldn't hold back my laughter.

If you did not fill out the entry form on the plane, you can get the entry form mentioned in item 4 above here, the wide and short one. If you are a tourist visiting South Korea, you need to give the entry form here, but you do not need to give the declaration form. International students can just show their landing certificate directly. Then press your fingerprint, and now there are Chinese prompts, so don't worry.

7. Get your luggage.

Follow the instructions on the sign over there and get your luggage, which is basically the end of the journey. One thing to note here is that when you take your luggage and go out, you will be given a declaration form (the long and narrow one), which is required for all foreigners entering South Korea. If you didn't fill it out on the plane, don't worry, it will be there when you get your luggage and leave. After filling it out, just give it to the person who collects it~

Things to note when entering Korea.

1. Customs entry document inspection customs

After getting off the plane, first go to the entry inspection gate. The entry inspection channel is divided into a channel for foreigners and a channel for Koreans. Accept it here Customs ID review. During the review, you need to present your passport, entry card and other relevant certificates (foreigner landing card is required when re-entering). Note that you are not allowed to take pictures, eat, wear hats or sunglasses during the review.

2. Pick up the Luggage Collection

After passing the review, confirm the conveyor belt number of your flight’s luggage according to the prompts on the baggage guide board, and then go to the baggage hall to designate Pick up your checked baggage at the location.

If your baggage is lost, you can report it to the airport's lost baggage reporting office and leave your contact information so that airport personnel can return the baggage promptly after finding it.

3. Customs and Quarantine inspection of luggage items

Please fill in the entry declaration form carefully, declare it truthfully and accept inspection. Customs declaration is required for any single item worth 5,000 RMB, and customs duties will be levied on undeclared items, such as perfumes, jewelry, watches, and gifts. Generally, the chances of you being asked to open your luggage for inspection are very small, but it is possible. When claiming luggage, if there is a large plastic lock on the luggage, it means that it is suspected of carrying prohibited items. If you encounter this situation, don't be nervous and accept the unpacking inspection honestly.

4. Pick up at Arrival Hall

After collecting your luggage, at the exit, there will be a person sent by the school to pick you up, holding a card with your name on it or a card with the name of the school on it. Banners are waiting for you. If you can't see the pick-up person due to flight delay or other reasons, don't panic, we will reserve the pick-up person's contact information. Contact the contact person or call the consultant at that time and let the consultant contact you.
