Hugo gernsback especially likes dollar bills. He tried his best to register the word "science fiction" as a trademark, hoping to make money from it. In addition, he paid the author so little that the famous supernatural horror novelist H·P· Lovecraft later nicknamed him "Hugo the Mouse".
