How to identify the authenticity of cigarettes! Avoid being deceived

Experts tell you how to identify fake cigarettes?

Touch

Cigarettes, whether soft or hard-packed, are all wrapped with a transparent film. When consumers buy cigarettes, the first thing they come into contact with is the outer packaging.

Real cigarette: The plastic film feels smooth to the touch, has good transparency and good gloss. It is a special film. This film is only used for cigarette packaging. When you open it and touch it again, you will feel that the outer packaging film is thinner and softer to the touch.

Fake cigarettes: They use a general film with poor gloss. If you look at the cigarette box through the film, you will feel that the transparency is poor. If you touch it with your hands, it will feel sluggish. If you touch it again after taking it apart, you will feel this The film is thick and hard.

Second look

Identify by color. Consumers who regularly smoke one type of cigarette should pay attention to comparing the color of the cigarette packs when purchasing cigarettes. If possible, bring a real empty cigarette case with you the next time you buy cigarettes. No matter how realistic the fake cigarette box is, there is still a difference in color from the real cigarette box.

Identify it from cut tobacco. Some people mistakenly believe that the yellower the cut tobacco, the better the quality of the cigarette. In fact, this is a misunderstanding.

Real tobacco: The shredded tobacco of real tobacco has a natural color, with a yellowish to black color. There are generally no tobacco stems in shredded tobacco, because tobacco stems are not easy to burn and are easy to flame out. Regular manufacturers puff the tobacco stems during production.

Fake cigarettes: In order to confuse consumers, sulfur-smoked tobacco leaves are generally used to make the cut tobacco appear yellow and shiny. Tobacco stems are often seen in fake cigarettes. It is impossible for the manufacturer to expend effort on puffing the tobacco stems. It is a specialized process and requires the purchase of high-end equipment.

Identification from soot. After ordinary consumers smoke, they see white ash and think it is a good smoke. In fact, this is also a misunderstanding. In fact, the color of cigarette ash is affected by the dryness of the tobacco leaves. When the tobacco leaves are dry, the ash will appear gray-white after burning. On the contrary, it will be darker and harder to smoke.

To determine whether a cigarette is genuine or fake from the ash, you should observe during burning to see if there are tobacco stems emerging from the shredded tobacco. When tobacco stems appear, the cigarette will be difficult to smoke.

Three puffs

Smoking cigarettes is a more effective way for consumers to identify the authenticity of cigarettes. Generally, consumers will smoke one kind of cigarette for a long time, and if the taste suddenly changes greatly, they may encounter fake cigarettes.

Real smoke: Generally, the formula is relatively stable and the taste is also stable. For a variety of cigarettes from a regular cigarette factory, the materials are carefully selected and the formula is developed over a long period of time. Although the sources of tobacco leaves may come from different regions across the country, the stability of the taste can be guaranteed by using a comprehensive formula based on 40 levels of cut tobacco ingredients.

Fake cigarettes: Counterfeiters cannot take into account the issue of taste. If they can fool them into roughly similar cigarettes and exchange them for money, everything will be fine. It can also be said that fake cigarettes all taste the same.

Four disassembly

When it is difficult to identify the authenticity of the cigarette through the above methods, the most direct way is: dismantle it and take a look!

Opening the packaging box and identifying it through the adhesive method is a more direct way.

Real cigarettes: packaging boxes are mass-produced by machines. The glue applied by the machine is dot-shaped glue dots. The glue dots on both sides of the cigarette box are even, regular and fixed in position.

For example, there are three fixed glue points on the side of each cigarette box, and the distance between each glue point is equal, about 10 centimeters. The glue on both sides of a pack of cigarette boxes is made by dispensing glue. If you tear it open and look at it, you can see neatly arranged little glue marks, with a distance of 2-2.5 mm between the two points. The glue marks on both sides are also very symmetrical.

Fake cigarettes: They are all artificially glued and applied with a brush. When you take it apart, you can clearly see the traces of the brush, and the glue marks on both sides of the cigarette box are also asymmetrical, which is very random.

Anti-counterfeiting professionals say that opening cigarette boxes to identify authenticity is the most effective method and is applicable to all counterfeit cigarettes.

Another way to identify after disassembly is to look at the inner paper. Each pack of cigarettes contains metallic platinum paper. After opening the cigarette box, you have to pull apart the platinum paper to get to the cigarettes. There is particularity in the opening part. The real cigarette platinum paper is only connected at two points, and other parts are completely cut, making it easy to open.

When the platinum paper of fake cigarettes is pulled apart, it has a jagged shape in the middle and is rough and uneven.

In addition to the above methods, you should also pay attention to the following three situations when identifying fake cigarettes:

One is cigarettes with special specifications. The specifications of cigarettes are uniform across the country. Each cigarette is 84 mm long including the cigarette holder. There are 20 cigarettes in each box, or 10 cigarettes in a pack. If you find 25 cigarettes in a box or other special-shaped cigarettes on the market, they must be fake cigarettes.

One is "stick cigarette". The so-called "stick cigarettes", as the name suggests, are a few fake cigarettes put in a real cigarette box. According to professional anti-counterfeiting personnel, when counterfeiting personnel make "signed cigarettes", they usually replace the second row or the innermost row of a pack of cigarettes with fake cigarettes. This is because counterfeiters take advantage of consumers' daily smoking habits. Generally, the first cigarette will be from the middle or the edge of the outer row. When he smokes half a pack of cigarettes, he realizes that he has smoked fake cigarettes and wants to return it. Hard to say.

In addition, if you don’t know the varieties of local tobacco, you may also smoke fake cigarettes.

Walking on the edge of falsehood may really be my helpless choice. Because it is said that the methods of counterfeiters are also improving - they are very technical.

For example, a new feature has emerged in the sales of counterfeit cigarettes, that is, counterfeiters take advantage of the current characteristics of multiple brands in a series to clone many "twin brothers." For example, the Yunyan series has "soft-packed Blue Yunyan", the Yuxi series has "soft-packed Blue Yuxi", the Hongtashan series has "sixteen-pack Hongtashan", and there are also fake soft-packed Hongtashan, fake Ashima, etc.

The biggest danger of the emergence of such cloned products is that these fake cigarettes are highly concealable and deceptive. Because there are multiple brands in one series, when some operators obtain these fake cigarettes through other channels, they still think that this is a new brand in a certain series of cigarette factories and that the goods are authentic. It's just that the local tobacco companies don't have it, so it doesn't matter even if it is seized by the specialty department. At the same time, since these fake cigarettes have no authentic products to compare with, it is even more difficult for ordinary smokers to distinguish the authenticity. Of course, individual smokers will also use the above misunderstanding as an excuse to deceive consumers
