Development history

In 1695, Rémy Martin was born into a grape growing and winemaking family near the town of Rouillac in the Charente region of France. Working with his father on the family vineyard.

Rémy Martin got married in 1724, when the family business was booming, so he wanted to seek growth and development. As a result, the Rémy Martin company was established to engage in grape growing and brandy making. Among the four major brandy brands in the world today, only Rémy Martin was founded by local Cognac people, and the other three were all founded by foreign wine merchants.
