German HK16 assault rifle
The HK416 is an assault rifle designed by HK Company by combining the advantages of the HKG36 assault rifle and the M4 carbine. HK Company hired Larry Vickers, who retired from the U.S. Army’s Delta Force, as the person in charge of the HK416 project. The HK416 project was originally called HKM4, but because Colt owned the trademark patent for the M4 series of rifles, HK changed its name to 416.
The gun uses a short-stroke piston transmission system, and the barrel is made of cold-forged carbon steel, which has a long service life. The gun's receiver and handguard are equipped with 5 tactical rails for installing accessories. It adopts a free-floating front handguard. The entire front handguard can be completely removed to improve the weight distribution of the entire gun.
The bottom of the butt is equipped with a plastic buffer pad to reduce recoil, and there is a pump piston buffer device in the receiver, which effectively reduces the impact of recoil and dirt on the movement of the bolt, thereby improving the weapon's controllability. In addition, There is also a spare new metal rear sight. HK416 is also equipped with a blank ammunition adapter that can only fire blank ammunition to prevent safety accidents caused by mistakenly loading live ammunition.
