Authentic dragon's blood is oblate, square or irregular, with dark red or dark red surface, luster, red powder produced by friction, grooves and cloth patterns left by cloth bags. The bottom of the complete processed product is round and flat, with a golden trademark on it, and the top is uneven and bulged into a cluster. Hard and brittle, hard to break by hand twisting, flat and dark red in cross section, with honeycomb holes, chewy sand sample, choking with smoke when burning (benzoic acid flavor).
False dragon's blood is oblate or irregular. The surface is brownish purple with a shell-like luster. There are forged yellow quotient and irregular grooves, obvious fine turtle cracks and a little frost. Thin and brittle, small pieces are easily broken when twisted by hand, the section is purple and shiny, fine particles stick to hands, ground into rose red, turpentine, flammable, and emits brown smoke and strong turpentine smell when burning.
Physical and chemical identification
1. Take the broken dragon's blood and put it on white paper. Bake it with fire and it will melt. Penetrating into the paper will be dark red, but it will be bright blood red when exposed to light. If mixed with impurities, it will turn black or gray after baking.
2. Put 2 grams of Dragon's Blood powder in a conical flask with a stopper, add 10% ammonia hydroxide test solution and shake it evenly for 2 hours, add the same amount of hydrochloric acid to the filtrate to make it acidic precipitation, dry the precipitation, put a small amount in an evaporating dish, add 3 drops of phenol: carbon tetrachloride (1: 2 solution), if it is blue, blue-green or purple, mix it with rosin.
3. Put 65438±0g of Sanguis Draxonis powder in a test tube, add 65438±00ml of petroleum ether (60-90), shake it evenly for 65438±05min, filter it, take 5ml of filtrate and put it in a test tube, add 0.5% copper acetate solution (newly prepared), shake it evenly, and stand for layering, and the petroleum ether layer does not show blue-green. If it is blue-green, it is mixed with rosin.
4. Take 5g of Sanguis Draxonis powder, add 30ml of ether, slightly heat concentrate to 20ml, add 30ml of anhydrous ethanol, and there is no white precipitate. If there is a white precipitate, it is mixed with Dama glue.
